Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the teaser before the first episode, "Rise of the Blue Beetle!", Batman teams up with Green Arrow to take down a villain who is a royal pain, even if it doesn't take too much time to defeat him. Who is this villain?

Answer: Clock King

The "B:TB&TB" version of Clock King wears a costume with a clock head and crown, which has more in common with the costume worn by the first Clock King in comics, William Tockman ("World's Finest Comics" #111, 1960), than the second/current Clock King in comics, Temple Fugate ("Teen Titans" #56, 2008), who is based on the "Batman: The Animated Series" version of Clock King.
2. Batman teams up with a stretchy, shape-changing hero to fight Gorilla Grodd in "Terror on Dinosaur Island!". Who is this former crook turned hero?

Answer: Plastic Man

"B:TB&TB" puts its own spin on Plastic Man's origin by showing a flashback where Patrick "Eel" O'Brian works as Kite Man's henchman before getting powers and becoming a hero, which is close to but not quite his origin from "Police Comics" #1, 1941.

Plastic Man is voiced by Tom Kenny, who is also the voice of Spongebob Squarepants.
3. Red Tornado teams up with Batman to stop Fun Haus from ruining Christmas in one episode. What is the name of this episode?

Answer: "Invasion of the Secret Santas!"

Fun Haus is a character created for "B:TB&TB", however he uses toys as a gimmick and visually is a bulked up version of the second Toyman, Jack Nimball (Action Comics #432, 1974), wearing a yellow jester costume. This is also the costume worn by Toyman in the "Super Friends" cartoons in the 1970s.
4. In the teaser for "Enter the Outsiders!", B'wana Beast helps Batman defeat Black Manta. B'wana Beast has the power to merge two animals into a single creature and joins a horse and a spider to catch up with Black Manta. What other two animals does he merge to finally stop the villain?

Answer: a pelican and a shark

B'wana Beast is Mike Maxwell, who debuted in "Showcase" #66, 1967.
5. In "Deep Cover for Batman!", Batman discovers an alternate Earth where the good guys are villains and the bad guys are heroes. Who is Batman's evil counterpart?

Answer: Owlman

Owlman ("Justice League of America" #29, 1964) is an evil version of Batman who is in the Crime Syndicate of America along with other evil versions of heroes like Ultraman, Superwoman, and Power Ring.

However, a new heroic Owlman has recently appeared in comics. Roy Raymond Jr. ("Outsiders Special" #1, 2009) becomes Owlman and joins the Outsiders after the events of "Final Crisis" (2008).
6. In "Fall of the Blue Beetle!", Jaime Reyes learns that he is not the first super hero known as Blue Beetle. Who was the Blue Beetle before Jaime?

Answer: Ted Kord

The first Blue Beetle was Dan Garret ("Mystery Men Comics" #1, 1939). Ted Kord was the second Blue Beetle ("Captain Atom" #83, 1966), and Jaime is the third ("Infinite Crisis" #3, 2006). Both Dan and Ted had possession of the scarab, but Jaime is the only one that the scarab bonded to and granted super powers.

Wil Wheaton voiced Ted, while Jaime was voiced by Will Friedle, who also provided the voice for the future Batman on "Batman Beyond".
7. Booster Gold guest stars in "Menace of the Conqueror Caveman!" What is the name of Booster's little flying robot sidekick?

Answer: Skeets

Booster Gold ("Booster Gold" (vol. 1) #1, 1986) was originally a publicity seeking refugee from the future trying to use advanced technology and super-heroics to make money, which is how he is presented in "B;TB&TB". However, in the comics Booster has developed significantly: now his showboating persona is a cover as he protects the time stream.
8. Wildcat and Batman take on the Outsiders in "Enter the Outsiders!", and Batman eventually starts mentoring/training them. Which of these is not one of the Outsiders?

Answer: Steppenwolf

The Outsiders first appears in "The Brave and the Bold" #200, 1983.
9. This villain travels to the post-apocalyptic future in "Last Bat On Earth!", where he takes over a tribe of Gorilla Men before being stopped by Batman and Kamandi. Who is this villain?

Answer: Gorilla Grodd

It's hard to believe that Gorilla Grodd ("Flash" v.1 #106, 1959) just happens to find a tribe of Gorilla Men in the future. But then again, this is a telepathic super-smart gorilla who can talk and is traveling through time, so there's a lot that's hard to believe about the whole thing.
10. What makes "Mayhem of the Music Meister!" different from the other episodes in Season 1?

Answer: It's a musical

The Music Meister was created for "B:TB&TB" and was voiced by Neil Patrick Harris.

Diedrich Bader, the usual voice actor for Batman, gets an assist from Jeff Bennett, who is credited as Batman's singing voice.
