"Better Call Saul" - Season 2 Episode 1 Quiz

Answer: Locked in the garbage room

As in the pilot episode, season 2 begins with a flash forward to a thinning haired, mustached, bespectacled middle-aged Jimmy/Saul doing the most menial type of work. A clock reads 9:20 P.M. as he takes out the trash, neglecting to secure the door open causing it to close and lock with him inside the garbage dumpster room.

Answer: "S G was here"

No clues to the identity and circumstances have yet been given regarding the older, future Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman character. After waiting in the trash room a couple hours a maintenance man opens the door and Jimmy/Saul silently slips out.

Answer: Kim

Kim is an associate lawyer with an Albuquerque firm where Jimmy's brother Chuck is a named partner. Jimmy referred a huge class action law suit to the firm, which required the assistance of larger Sante Fe law office. Jimmy is no doubt in love with Kim.

After being offered the position, Jimmy takes Kim aside for a chat. When Kim advises him that his taking the job will in no way affect their personal relationship, Jimmy declines the job.

Answer: Money

Jimmy commiserates with Mike about how they recently had $1.6 million cash in their hands that they recovered from an embezzling government employee. They turned it all over to the authorities. Jimmy promises to never make that mistake again and asks Mike why he didn't take any money. Mike responds that he only does the job for which he is paid, no more, no less.

Answer: The nerd's vehicle

An argument ensues in the parking garage meeting place when Mike refuses to get into the drug dealer's tricked-out yellow Hummer H2, as he believes it will draw too much attention. The dealer decides that he doesn't need Mike and can save the fee, so he does the cash/drug exchange alone.

He invites the other drug dealer to check out his new vehicle. In doing so the bad guy discovers the nerd's name and address on paperwork in the glove box.

Answer: "Not a lawyer"

After rejecting a position with a big law firm, Jimmy returns to his office in the back of a manicure shop and tears down the sign on his office door. He is next seen soaking up some sun at a resort. He breaks down and calls Kim and convinces her to join him for a drink.

Answer: Scams a bar customer

Jimmy is intrigued to learn that $50.00 a shot tequila exists, so he orders a round. The more practical Kim tells the waiter to bring a shot of well tequila and a glass of the house wine. Jimmy overhears a big shot stock broker talking loud on his cell phone and with the assistance of Kim they make him believe that they are brother and sister and have just inherited a large sum of money. Kim and Jimmy commence consuming a whole bottle of tequila shots, with the tab being picked up by the stunned broker.

Answer: Toothbrush

Jimmy is perplexed as to why Kim, after spending the night having sex, will not lend him her toothbrush. "It's different", replies Kim. Jimmy then uses Kim's finger to brush his teeth.

Answer: Baseball cards

Despite the nerd's lamentations and precise details about his stolen baseball card collection, the investigating policemen are skeptical based on the evidence at the crime scene. They move a sofa and discover a secret hiding place behind the baseboard of the wall.

Answer: Light switch

In his luxurious office Jimmy fixates on a wall light switch covered with tape and a small note saying "do not turn off". Jimmy peals off the tape and turns the switch off, then back on. Nothing happens yet as the credits roll for the end of the episode.
