1. A memorial wreath for a nine-year-old hit-and-run victim overturns the car of the driver that killed the boy.

Answer: fact

This incident happened in the Gulf Coast area in the late 1980s. The victim was an only child. The city would not pay for the plot of land so the parents had to. 2. Plumbing problems in a young couple's apartment alert them of their downstairs neighbor's need for help.

Answer: Fact

This was based on a late 1980s East Coast incident. The couple had faucets that would mysteriously turn on. The super couldn't find anything strange. Later, the bathtub and sink overflow and the super comes back. As a precaution, the couple and super check on the neighbor, who doesn't respond.

They find the neighbor in need of medical attention. After the neighbor is taken care of, the word "Thanks" appears on the couple's bathroom mirror.
