Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of the 'city of outcasts, thieves, murderers, and delinquents'?

Answer: Pariah

Ford, down on the cold storage level of the labs, takes the opportunity to talk to Old Bill about his old greyhound, musing that once his dog caught a cat, it didn't know what to do next.

Dolores stands in a cemetery, surveying the graves and remembering her memory of a man asking her to find him. She stands with Logan and William on the outskirts of the town of Pariah, known for its rowdier outlaws and scoundrel citizens. They're finishing escorting a man from their previous quest. Heading into Pariah, vultures circle above the buildings. Dolores says it's beautiful in its own way...but it's a bit of a mess. Logan tells William that his family is planning to buy out the park since it seems to be hemorrhaging money, but there seems to be a lot of mystery still inside, behind closed doors.
2. The Man in Black needs to revive Teddy. How does he do it?

Answer: Using Lawrence's blood

As they walk through Pariah, Logan and William come across 'The Army of New Virginia', also known as 'The Confederatos', and this worries Dolores, who's heard stories about the mercenaries they are. Logan sees them as a key to the far reaches of the park.

Elsewhere, the Man in Black and Lawrence have Teddy strung up on a mule. The latter knows that Teddy's not long for this world, but it'll take too long to get him to the healers in the town of Pariah. That's when a young boy comes along, inquiring as to their reasons for being in the area. The Man in Black sends the boy off to collect water for them from a nearby creek before telling Lawrence that he thought, for some reason, that their paths converged so that they could proceed together. In fact, Lawrence's path is coming to an end. To get Teddy the blood he needs, he slits Lawrence's throat, hangs him from a tree, and drains him. It's Teddy who the Man in Black was supposed to find.
3. To convince Teddy to join him, the Man in Black suggests that Dolores is with who of these?

Answer: Wyatt

In the labs, Maeve's bullet holes and stab wound are repaired. The surgeons worry about her waking up.

Teddy awakens a bit worse for wear. The Man in Black is in front of him when he awakens, and while Teddy begs for a bullet to the head, the man is far from merciful. He once regarded Teddy as one of the finer specimens of the park, but over the years his intricate machinery was replaced to make him the tragic figure his is today. It's not hard to convince him to come along. All the man does is mention Wyatt and Dolores, and they're on their way. The boy returns with the water from the creek and sees Lawrence hanging; the man tells him that someone will be by to pick him up shortly.
4. In a dream, as she believes it, Dr. Ford tells Dolores that they are old friends.

Answer: False

In Pariah, William asks Dolores if she's alright. She explains that she's been wondering if she's on the path to change their life. William thinks that she's right, since the whole park is an opportunity to become something more than whatever you are in the real world. Dolores asks him what he means by 'the real world' moments before there's a parade. The guys are convinced to head to a brothel for the night and Dolores, believing that she sees herself moving amongst the men and women dressed up for the parade, collapses in the crowd.

Dolores remembers speaking to Dr. Ford in the labs...in a dream. Ford tells her that dreams mean everything and asks if she's been trying to break free of her little loop to be something bigger. Ford asks if she remembers Arnold, beyond all of the updates, and despite her assertions that she doesn't, he looks through her records to find that she spoke to Arnold more than thirty years earlier on the day he died. He said she was going to help him destroy Westworld. Ford leaves the lab, and when he does, Dolores speaks to no one: "He doesn't know. I didn't tell him anything."

Elsewhere in the labs, a tech brings a robotic bird back to life in an attempt to learn the code needed to move up in the company. His coworker suggests that he's not a coder; he's a butcher. They have another body. It's Maeve again.
5. Who is El Lazo?

Answer: Lawrence

Logan, William, and Dolores make their way through Pariah the following day to meet with El Lazo, a man who they don't know as Lawrence. They ended up saving his man, Slim, during their quest, and it gives them a leg up on getting themselves affiliated with the Confederato. Dolores tries her hand at negotiation when Logan doesn't seem able to get through to El Lazo with brute force, and it manages to convince him to take them on for a heist, stealing a shipment of nitroglycerin from a union convoy.

They all agree to the terms before El Lazo gets Dolores a change of clothes. He hands her a cowboy hat, which she takes curiously.
6. No one is killed during William and Logan's nitroglycerin heist.

Answer: False

Dolores changes quickly and holsters a gun, telling the others that she doesn't quite know how to use it. Soon, however, they end up standing in the way of the convoy, guns pointed at the union drivers, and they pull off the heist without issue...until one of the union men attacks Logan, incapacitating him. Slim is shot and killed, and before Dolores is attacked by another man, William shoots and kills the host, turns and shoots another, then kills the one strangling his brother-in-law. Logan is thrilled; he knew that William would get into the spirit sooner or later. Dolores, though she may have been killed, is disappointed that blood needed to be shed despite their plan to avoid it at all costs.
7. Elsie, investigating the murderous woodcutter host, finds what inside of his body?

Answer: A satellite uplink

William, Logan, and Dolores return to Pariah with the nitro shipment intact, though with Slim dead. The Confederatos recognize that El Lazo came through and give him his reward before he turns it back around, urging the New Army of West Virginia to celebrate their own victory with women and booze. Logan, of course, joins them.

In the labs, Elsie works with the calibration of a faulty barman host before seeing the woodcutter being wheeled through on a slab. She heads down to the butchers' floor and blackmails her way through the techs to have a short time analyzing the host that tried to kill her before it heads to the incinerator. She finds that its data logs are corrupt, but more importantly she finds something inside the host's arm...a satellite uplink device.
8. What role does William have in his business outside of Westworld?

Answer: Executive Vice President

Elsie brings her findings to Bernard. The laser-based satellite uplink inside the woodcutter's arm is a big problem. The Orion's Belt theory she had earlier was wrong. The constellation being created was actually a target. Someone has been using the host to smuggle data out of the park.

In the Pariah brothel, Logan, William, and Dolores sit back and watch the hedonism being performed before El Lazo pours them all another drink. The leader of the Confederato urges them to join the New Army, but William seems to refuse the whole thing. Logan calls him out for being too weak and clearly not a threat in any way, and suggests that he won't amount to anything more than the Executive Vice President role he gave to him. When William turns around, Dolores is gone.
9. Dolores fires her gun for the first time. How many shots does she fire?

Answer: Four

Dolores, wandering the halls of the brothel, comes across a fortune teller reading tarot cards and quietly sits at the table. She pulls the Maze card to find the image of herself sitting in front of her, telling her to follow the maze. As she looks down, she pulls a thread from her arm, tearing into her flesh...but when she looks down she's fine.

She flees the room and through the halls, but ends up finding El Lazo outside, conspicuously filling Slim...and other bodies...with nitroglycerin, replacing the bottles with tequila. Dolores finds William and convinces him that she, with his help, can find a way out of the madness, and they head out, passing a shackled Logan, who is accused of replacing the bottles. William refuses to help him.

They make it outside, but are met by the Confederatos who, in their rage, attack the duo...but Dolores draws her gun and kills them. She tells him that she's reimagining her story-- she won't be a damsel. They run through the cemetery outside and catch a train, leaving Logan behind in Pariah.
10. What image is emblazoned onto the top of Slim's casket?

Answer: The maze

When Will and Dolores make it onto the train they go inside to find El Lazo pointing a gun at them. Dolores points her gun at Slim's casket to defuse the situation. He urges them to call him Lawrence, now that they're all friends, and he invites them to sit with him. It's a long ride. Dolores looks at the casket. On the top, burned into the wood, is an image of the maze.

The Man and Black and Teddy arrive in a bar for a drink of whiskey and are met by Dr. Ford. The Man in Black says it's a rare honour and says that he always disliked that Westworld never had a solid villain. He wonders if Wyatt is a worthy adversary on his way to the center of the maze, and that maybe he'll find purpose by uncovering the mystery. When the man wields a knife and suggests that he may find something if he opens Ford up, Teddy acts immediately, grabbing the blade of the knife with his hand and forcing it into the table. Ford is fine with all of this. He actually encourages the man to continue his journey of self-discovery before leaving. After Ford departs, Teddy, now invigorated, takes back a shot of whiskey and suggests they head back out on the road.

In the labs, the tech who tried his hand at coding finds Maeve on the slab again. He tries once more to bring the bird back to life, and this time it works. As it flies around the room, it lands on Maeve's finger. Sitting up, she tells the tech, Felix, that it's time they had a chat.
