Rory's birth name is Lorelai Leigh Gilmore. Both Rory and her mother are named after Lorelai's paternal grandmother, though a case could be made that Lorelai named Rory specifically after herself.

2. What college did Rory always dream of going to when she was growing up?

Answer: Harvard

Rory has dreamed of going to Harvard since she was a little girl. Lorelai even takes Rory to Cambridge to see Harvard in one episode. Rory was accepted to Harvard but chose to attend Yale.
