Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "I Am Peter, Hear Me Roar," Peter thinks that he finds a breast lump while he is examining his chest. What does the "lump" actually turn out to be?

Answer: A Cheeto

He feels his chest, begins to panic when he finds a lump, then says "nope- Cheeto," and actually eats it.
2. The first time we meet Death, Peter asks him who he is and Death sarcastically responds by saying "I'm ______ ______ . . . "

Answer: Calista Flockhart

Death has come to take Peter away since he listed himself as "deceased" on a medical form to get out of paying the bill. Apparently, Peter's HMO e-mailed it straight to Death and he was dispatched to take care of it. (In this first appearance by Death, he was voiced by Norm MacDonald.

In other episodes Adam Corolla does him. His dog is voiced by Jimmy Kimmel, Adam's partner in the old episodes of "The Man Show.")
3. In "Peter, Peter, Caviar Eater," Brian invents a shock therapy experiment in an attempt to make Peter more cultured. Brian sets up two televisions with dramatically different shows on each. What was the show that Brian WANTED Peter to watch?

Answer: Frasier

The other show was "Ricki Lake". Brian told Peter that if he so much as glanced at the TV showing "Ricki Lake" then he would be shocked. Needless to say, Peter glanced.
4. What is the news channel in Quahog that employs such journalistic talents as Tom Tucker, Diane Simmons, and Asian Reporter Tricia Takanawa?

Answer: Channel 5

It seems that the news is on at some point in nearly every episode of "Family Guy." Rarely do they report anything of true interest, but at one point we hear it on in the background and we learn of turmoil at the White House when President Bush stuck his finger in an electrical socket. When asked why he did it, he said "Cheney told me that's where the leprechauns hide their gold!"
5. Pearl Burton, Brian's shut-in friend from "Brian Wallows and Peter Swallows," attempted to sing an aria in 1961 but wound up running off the stage before it was complete. From what opera was she singing?

Answer: Carmen

She was singing "Habanera" from "Carmen" but everyone in the audience kept yelling out names of her famous jingles that they wanted her to sing instead. She ran off the stage and was never seen again until Brian showed up at her house to do community service after getting arrested by Joe Swanson for a DUI.
6. In "From Method to Madness," Stewie throws a few "sexy parties", as he calls them. During these parties, what does Stewie wear?

Answer: A sailor suit

Basically these parties consist of Stewie (in a little white sailor suit, or sometimes just the hat) running around with seven women dressed only in bras, garters and stockings.
7. What singer/songwriter do we see annoying the heck out of the Griffins in "Da Boom?"

Answer: Randy Newman

They find Randy Newman sitting at a piano under an apple tree "just singing about what he sees." At first the Griffins think his music might be nice, but once he starts they realize that he is just too obnoxious and they promptly leave.
8. In "Running Mates," Lois and Peter are running against each other for president of the school board. What real-life political commentator makes an appearance in this episode?

Answer: James Carville

Carville provided his voice in this episode, which is funny since they don't particularly say kind things about him. Peter's quote explaining why he can't look at Carville is "... I can handle ugly, but that's just CIRCUS ugly!"
9. Who plays the Virgin Mary in the Quahog Christmas Pageant?

Answer: Bonnie

This works out quite well since Bonnie is actually pregnant. During the pageant she introduces herself as the Virgin Mary and then says "... that's my story and I'm sticking to it!"
10. When did Lois have to book Stewie's birthday party at Cheesie Charlie's?

Answer: The day of her ultrasound

She had to book it the day of her ultrasound because Cheesie Charlie's is so popular for kids' parties. However, Peter managed to lose their reservation and Lois was furious.
11. Peter once engaged in a very violent fight with a giant chicken that lasted nearly a minute and a half on screen. Did the chicken die at the end of the fight?

Answer: No

The chicken gave him an expired coupon which sent Peter into a rage when it was discovered. The fight which ensues is absolutely hilarious and true to "Family Guy" style. Peter assumes that the chicken is dead at the end of the fight and he walks off into the sunset.

However, the audience sees the chicken open his eyes and look around, so the correct answer is no, the chicken did NOT die.
12. Which of the following sitcoms has NOT been parodied on "Family Guy?" (I'm talking about the sitcom itself, not the actors involved in the sitcom.)

Answer: "Full House"

Remember when Cliff Huxtable's head falls off in an episode of "The Cosby Show" that is on during "Peter, Peter, Caviar Eater?" We see "Dharma and Greg" referenced a few times, including a time when Lois is watching it in "There's Something about Paulie" and Greg is pleading with Dharma to just come down from the coffee table.

The "Eight is Enough" reference is somewhat disturbing since we see the father hitting one of the kids; another one of the kids runs to stop him, saying "Dad, eight is ENOUGH!"
13. In "Fifteen Minutes of Shame," who do the producers of "The Real Live Griffins" bring in to replace Peter?

Answer: Tom Arnold

Meg is the first member of the family to be replaced and her replacement is much better looking than the real Meg. Eventually the whole family gets changed out. Fran Drescher plays Lois, Tom Arnold plays Peter, Philip Seymour Hoffman is brought in to play Chris (although Meg only calls him "that fat guy from 'Boogie Nights,'") and Stewie and Brian are replaced by the Olsen twins.
14. "In the episode "Holy Crap!" Peter becomes convinced that he is going to Hell. Of course we are then transported to a vision of what that would be like and we see Adolf Hitler playing cards in Hell with three other people. Which is NOT one of them?

Answer: Joseph Stalin

You may have been tempted to say Superman since it would be surprising to see him in Hell, but he was there. More surprising would be the fact that an idiot like Peter would actually recognize John Wilkes Booth.
15. When the Griffins are driving to New York City to get Chris back in the Scouts they engage in a game of 20 Questions. Lois thinks of a movie and Peter guesses it almost right off the bat. What is the name of the movie?

Answer: "Cool Runnings"

After it is revealed that the thing Lois is thinking of is a movie, Peter only asks one question: "Is it a good movie?" Lois says "It has its moments," and Peter immediately yells out "Cool Runnings!" Amazing. (Thanks to girlin31 for the help on that one.)
