The same delivery boy that gave Ami her gift later pulls up to the bus again to do the same routine with Yumi. After Yumi receives her gift from the President of her fan club, she too shuts the door in the delivery boy's face.

Each of the deliveries goes unnoticed by the girl that did not receive the gift at the time. Since each girl did not want to make the other feel bad by revealing the gift, Kaz suggested to each girl that they hide the gift in his room.

Although "Kaz vs. Katz" featured mainly the cats and Kaz, Ami and Yumi appeared briefly at the episode's beginning and end. The girls are nowhere to be found in "Cat Nap"; seeing as how the episode takes place late at night, and based on the episode "Collect All Five", the girls are probably out getting a midnight snack.

"Cat Nap" begins at midnight, which is when Kaz gets his midnight snack. While he is going to the refrigerator, his action make enough noise to wake up and irritate the cats, who were sleeping in a basket.

During one of the chase scenes between Kaz and the cats, they end up leaving the bus and passing through an amusement park dedicated to Puffy AmiYumi. Puffy Land has rides, balloons, and many other things that look like Ami and Yumi.

This particular prank involves Kaz trying to get some sleep while the cats keep poking and prodding him. Whenever Kaz gets up to investigate, the cats duck out of sight. Kaz thinks the bed is responsible for teasing him, and he then says this quote.

During a concert, both Ami and Yumi break their instruments at the exact same time. Kaz tells them of a story he read about a similar thing happening in the past to two other people; they were cursed with 100 years of bad luck and were never seen again.

After the instruments broke, giving Ami and Yumi 100 years of bad luck, the girls racked up 100 more years of bad luck through various means. After this, Kaz discovered that he had misread the story, and breaking your instruments simultaneously gives you 100 years of good luck, which means the girls had no net gain of luck.

Chopsticks standing straight up in rice is a Buddhist superstition. Serving rice with chopsticks in this way is how rice is offered to the dead, and is especially bad luck in Japan (Ami and Yumi's home country).

Although we do not know precisely how much bad luck was gained at first (because we did not see everything that happened) Yumi figures out the number of years on a calculator and announces it, while mumbling everything that happened to her and Ami.

When combining the good luck from breaking the instruments and the bad luck from all the other causes, Yumi figures out that Puffy has gained one year of bad luck. She and Ami start laughing, but the camera then pans to the side to reveal that the calendar says Friday 13, which Yumi forgot to factor into the calculations about luck she did.
