Answer: Lt. Braca

Braca appears as Crais's lieutenant, but quickly realizes the future of his career lies with Scorpius. M'Lee isn't seen again and so doesn't count as a recurring character. Jothee is D'Argo's son and doesn't appear as a recurring character until season two. Talyn was born in the episode "The Hidden Memory," but not named until this episode.

Moya receives a faint transmission, a distress call from a female alien who screams at the end when a particularly big alien storms into the frame, and then the transmission ends. Chiana says, "A distress call directed at us?," which prompts her and John to laugh and John to say, "How stupid is that?" Another reason to go to the asteroid was they hoped to find navigational aid to get out of the asteroid field they were hiding in to avoid being captured by the Peacekeepers. Zhaan did find medicine as well on the botany asteroid, but that was not their original intent when they went to the asteroid.

Answer: She can heal fast

In the beginning, when everyone is shivering on Moya as she's turned off her heat to hide from any scans by the Peacekeepers, Chiana asks Zhaan why she isn't frozen, and Zhaan replies, "My body temperature self-regulates under most conditions." On the botany asteroid, when M'Lee sniffs Zhaan, she says, "You smell like out there." Zhaan says she is indeed flora, which stuns John. Later, when hiding from Br'Nee, Zhaan blends in with the plants surrounding her, turning invisible, although it did not save her from being seen by Br'Nee in the end.

She did something similar in "Till the Blood Runs Clear," disguising her scent to throw off the Vorcarian trackers, but did not disappear. As for healing, she has mentioned that the fibers in her arm were torn in "Through the Looking Glass," but that they would heal.

When the group discuss answering the distress call after seeing a monstrous alien attack the woman, Rygel says, "You're not seriously considering going down there, are you?" D'Argo tells Rygel, "You do not have to go down there, Your Flatulence." And Rygel, of course, does stay on the ship.

Aeryn is asked by Pilot to stay behind to help solidify trust between Moya and her baby. Pilot thought as a former Peacekeeper, the baby might be more inclined to trust Aeryn.

When Rygel tells Aeryn she should stay on Moya's baby, saying, "You deserve a home where you're wanted," Chiana interrupts with "What Slimy means, if we get attacked, the only weapon we've got is that kid." She used the nicknames Frog Boy and Your Royal Frogness in "A Bug's Life," and Slug Face in "The Hidden Memory."

After learning about Br'Nee's true nature, John says, "Swamp Thing here ain't the Mr. Rogers scientist we thought he was." Before they leave for the asteroid, John says, "One, two, three, four to beam down Pilot," referencing Star Trek.

At the end, M'Lee finally makes it off the asteroid and onto the Peacekeeper carrier. When they are about to interrogate her, Scorpius, hugging her, says, "We must know when to be strong, and when to show compassion." As he does, M'Lee glows red and she looks hungry...
