John is daydreaming about life on Earth with Aeryn and marrying her. When he snaps back, he is still writing equations on his arm and Chiana tells John he has to ask Aeryn to go with him to Earth. An old woman, Noranti appears, offering food and advice.

Her name is not given in this episode, she is known only as "old woman," but she joins the cast in season four and her name is revealed then. She was a prisoner on the Peacekeeper Carrier and escaped when the Carrier imploded with other prisoners in a life pod, and John insisted on rescuing them.

The others left, but Noranti stayed, wanting to help John and Aeryn. A running gag through this episode is everyone asking "Who is that woman?"

Answer: Leviathan burial place

Moya wishes for Talyn's remains to be buried at the Leviathan burial ground, but a rogue leviathan rams her, not wanting a Peacekeeper ship to desecrate the sacred place, as its last three offspring were enslaved by the Peacekeepers, and it views Talyn as one of them.

Answer: Kisses John

Noranti blows powder in John's face to make him have bizarre images that seem real. Later, during one of John's daydreams of dancing with Aeryn, John dances with Noranti. Later, when D'Argo is flying after the rogue leviathan in his ship, there is a shot of Noranti eating a large mouthful of some long green grass. At the end, when John says they have to go, Noranti grabs Jool and shows her teeth on her ear lobe, ready to bite... why, I have no idea.

Answer: It is dead

Pilot (our Pilot) learns that the other Pilot is dead, starved to death by the leviathan, which is apparently unhinged.

Answer: A big backyard

In one of John's dreams, he eavesdrops on Aeryn confiding to Jack Crichton, telling him, "John has this fantasy about us. Having kids and dogs and a pool and barbeques. ... "Jack, I am miserable here, and he just doesn't see it. I'm going to get married, and end up like Betty Crocker. I just keep wondering when he's going to wake up."

Answer: D'Argo marries Chiana

John has many visions going different ways, all involving what life would be like if he could go back to Earth and still have his new friends and Aeryn with him. At first, John and Aeryn are planning for their wedding, but then later Aeryn tells Jack, John's dad, that she is miserable on Earth and doesn't belong, and later stands John up. Also, Chiana seems to be enjoying life on Earth, sleeping with all of John's friends and even his dad! Later, John gets another dose of powder from Noranti to "strip away the lies" and see what he's really afraid of.

He sees everyone at the wedding, even Pilot, and he and Aeryn are happy, but then the Peacekeepers storm in and shoot everyone there, including Aeryn, who dies in John's arms. Scorpious walks up and tells him, "What did you expect?"

Answer: It is completely destroyed

John pilots the ship, getting around the fact that only someone with Luxan DNA can fly it as D'Argo rubbed something of himself all over the controls (John, "That's why I'm wearing gloves"). D'Argo aims and fires, and the blast is huge and envelops the rogue leviathan, obliterating it completely. Everyone seems stunned by the power, but Rygel is overjoyed, saying they are done and can now go.

Answer: Coin toss

Aeryn says that fate will bring them back together, but she can't be with him, for fear of having to see him die again. John says a coin toss will decide since she wants to put everything on fate. The coin freezes in the air and the screen fades to black. When it returns, we see John alone in his Farscape module, and Aeryn gone.

Answer: Chiana

D'Argo's parting words were "Anything positive I do with the rest of my life, will be because of you. Take care, my friend." Chiana's were "You better not forget me. You better not ever forget that I love you." Rygel went with "Of all the lesser species, I admit I've grown to like yours the best." And last, Aeryn told him, "We're in the hands of fate now. We have to trust in that. Fly safe. Good bye, John Crichton." The two always say that they will never say good-bye, but she does here.

Answer: The Peacekeepers find John

While John sits in his module after everyone has left, he flashes back (thanks to Harvey) to Noranti whispering something to him when he was high off that powder she blew in his face, and the words were "Be forgiving... Be kind... Better angels. Her life. Her world. On her time. You will know... Aeryn... is... with child." Before he can get his module back to Moya to go after Aeryn, a wormhole opens up and sucks Moya inside and then disappears, leaving John stranded with almost no fuel in his Farscape module. John says, "You have got to be kidding me!" as the "To Be Continued" rolls up.
