"Farscape," "Infinite Possibilities Part 1" Quiz

Answer: Daedalus

Part 1 is titled "Daedalus Demands," and Part 2 is "Icarus Abides." Daedalus was a scientist and engineer who made a labyrinth where the Minotaur was kept, and also made artificial wings for his son Icarus and himself to escape a tower where they were being kept prisoner by King Minos, to prevent Daedalus from spreading word about his knowledge of the labyrinth. Icarus flew too high and the sun melted the wax holding his wings together and he fell into the ocean and died.

A parallel for this would be the Ancient Jack as Daedalus giving a gift for John (Icarus), which might kill him if used wrong. That can't be a good...

Answer: I trusted you

John leads Talyn to a wormhole, or a billboard as John calls it, following a signal in his head that the Ancients are using to call John. The Ancient that spoke with John way back in season one's "A Human Reaction" appears again in the form of John's father Jack, saying, "I'm here." When Crais and Talyn are ready to blow Jack away, John tells them not to because he knows them, and Jack says, "And I thought I knew you, I may have been wrong. If I was... I may have to kill you." At which point Jack lifts his hand and John goes into a strange trance, where Jack talks to John privately, showing him an alien in a module that looks like Farscape-1, flying in a wormhole.

Answer: Bumper cars

Harvey and John are on bumper cars, with Harvey wearing a NASCAR type outfit. Harvey warns John not to tell Jack about his presence, or the Ancient will terminate them both, and Aeryn as well. He goes on to say that Scorpius couldn't have built that Farscape-1 looking module, but there was one person who could - Furlow.

Answer: Rygel

Rygel tells Stark it's a Charrid, a race of aliens who invaded his home planet over a thousand cycles ago, killing a billion Hynerians and eating millions of their young. They were repelled by wave after wave of suicide attacks. Crais brings bad news, the Charrids have formed an alliance with the Scarrans.

Answer: Dam-Ba-Da

Furlow resides in Dam-Ba-Da, which is where John heads to see what she's been up to. Although she told him two cycles ago that the flares there would not return for another four plus cycles, John finds that the flares are not only there, but stronger. Upon landing they are greeted by a battalion of Charrids and Talyn and Crais are blinded by a flare while fighting. Inside the compound, they find Furlow tied up. She had hired the Charrid's as security, but they betrayed her.

Answer: Crais and Stark

Stark can calm the blinded Talyn and of course Crais, blinded as well, must go as he is the ship's captain. Stark tells Crais he can be his eye and Rygel says, "Perfect, the half-blind leading the blind."

Answer: Little Red Riding Hood

Upon capturing a Charrid, John says, "My Grandma, what big teeth you have," in response to the Charrid's big teeth, which is a line from the Brothers Grimm Fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood." Rygel interrogates the Charrid until it dies, and learns that a Scarran Dreadnaught is on the way and will arrive in six arns. Aeryn then puts Rygel in charge of the cannon and orders him to fire at the Charrids and keep them away from the compound since he likes killing Charrids so much. Too bad he is knocked out when a bomb lands near him...

Answer: Destroy it

After the Scarrans override Furlow's computer and upload the wormhole technology from it, including the data on how to make the phase stabilizer, Jack says the knowledge must be destroyed. When Furlow points out that all of that info is now on the Scarran Dreadnaught, Jack says, "Exactly.

Therefore we need to destroy the Dreadnought." But to do that, he needs John's help, and in order for John to help, the wormhole knowledge in his head must be unlocked, and in order to do that, Harvey must be removed...

Answer: Medulla oblongata

Harvey tells John, "I warn you, John, if you attempt this, I will fight you, and I will win! If your brain really isn't big enough for the both of us,
either I'll survive, or neither of us will." John responds with, "Harvey, kiss my medulla oblongata." The medulla oblongata is the part of the human brain that controls many bodily functions.

Answer: Aeryn aims a gun at John

John uses his Scorpius voice and tells Aeryn that John is "Gone. Gambled and lost," and then chokes Aeryn. She pulls her gun on him, a tear in her eye, and prepares to fire... but then the words "to be continued" appear.
