John sings "500 hundred bottles of beer on the wall, 500 hundred bottles of beer..." while waiting on D'Argo and the others to come rescue him, as he shot out of a wormhole and was left floating in space in orbit over Earth. He manages to make contact with them as the wormhole opens and closes, allowing brief communications. He makes it down to six bottles when D'Argo arrives in his ship Lo'la and John quips, "Hey, you're early. I've still got a six pack."

Answer: Regean is still president

The gang gets a transmission from Earth and John hears that Regean is President and that the year is 1985. Later he discovers the past is different because his dad is flying the doomed space flight of the Challenger. John has to fix the timeline so it doesn't become a permanent reality, which would mean he would never do the Farscape project. John tells them, "No dad, no Farscape Project. [D'Argo and Rygel] stay in Peacekeeper custody, [Aeryn] remains a Nazi, and [Chiana] ends up on Nebari Prime."

John walks in his old neighborhood and pats the hood of his old pick up truck, saying, "Old Betty."

John learns it is Halloween, so his alien friends will fit right in on Earth as they hide out in an abandoned house next to his father's home while John tries to find a way to get his dad not to go up in the Challenger.

Answer: "Sesame Street" and "Wheel of Fortune"

Aeryn becomes mesmerized by "Wheel of Fortune," as it helps her learn English. Later she is watching Kermit on "Sesame Street", commenting on how "this girl is slow" when a child on the show has trouble with her ABC's, and "Again with the Cookie Monster..." Rygel is later referred to as Kermit when a sheriff arrives to investigate their presence in the house, a nod to the late Jim Henson, whose company makes the puppets for "Farscape."

John introduces himself to his sister Kim as "Fred Scarran, from the Gainesville Scarrans" when he bumps into her as he steals some milk which he has sorely missed. Later, when he speaks to his teenage self, he tells him he is John Clarence, a pun on Clarence from "It's a Wonderful Life." Later, when they try to recreate a fire from John's childhood to get his father not to fly on the Challenger mission, young John takes an overdose of Noranti's sleep potion and John starts to fade away, prompting him to say, "I'm Casper the Friggin' Joke."

Chiana, sick of being stuck in the house, wanders out, giving people the finger (she thinks that's how Earthlings say hello). She bumps into young John Crichton and tries to say her name in English, but young John hears "Karen." Chiana says "Yes, yes," and when she burns herself on the cigarette lighter, she says, "Shee-eau!" Young John thinks her name is Karen Shaw, who happens to be the girl mentioned in the season one episode "That Old Black Magic" as being the girl John lost his virginity to in the back of his dad's 4 wheel drive.

D'Argo faces the sheriff who has a gun pointed at him, and can only say the three phrases in English to the cop that he knows - "Yes. No. Bite me." Noranti blows powder in the cops face so he sees a black man in a Halloween costume instead, though this encounter appears later to have a profound effect on the sheriff.

Meanwhile, back on Moya, Commandant Grayza and Braca board Moya, searching for Crichton. Braca finds Scorpius, who is hiding in a lower tier, and kisses the captain on his forehead, telling him he's done well and learning that Grayza is planning on making peace with the Scarrans.

An unconscious teenage John, after being pulled out from a burning house by D'Argo and the older John, is told by his older self, "Don't frown so much." As John leaves, his dad, who is also passed out from the smoke, wakes and sees John leaving. Back on Moya, they are over present day Earth, and John finds his father on Moya waiting for him with dignitaries from America!
