Amalita may have been Euro-trash, but she was generous with her lover's credit card when Carrie's was cut up! Of course, Carrie had to wear her new D&G shoes to go out that very night, and she met the French charmer, Gilles.

2. Who gets a makeover and a Helmut Lang suit in "The Turtle and the Hare"?

Answer: Bernie Turtletaub

Samantha makes over "the Turtle" in this season one episode, calling him her "cute little fixer-upper". Alas, a wonderful designer suit and a facial do not make him less boring, so she is forced to dump him.

Mark Badgley and James Mischka have only been a design team since 1988, but their forward-thinking yet classic creations were featured prominently on "SATC". In addition to wearing a Badgley Mischka design to Miranda's wedding, Carrie was also dressed in their stunning white duchesse satin sheath the night she and Aidan broke up for the final time.

Berger is surprised that there's free champagne at Prada, until he sees the prices. Carrie, whose writing career is finally paying off, buys him a shirt he can't afford but she can. Her success, coupled with his failures, is the beginning of the end of their relationship.

Carrie moved to Paris to be with her Russian, but she was alone a great deal of the time. In the penultimate episode of the series, she wears Versace and shops at Dior but loses her "Carrie" necklace and is afraid she might be losing herself. It all works out beautifully in the final episode, though!
