Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. See It All Grays

Answer: Seattle Grace

Seattle Grace Hospital, a fictional hospital in Seattle, Washington, is where the main characters work and is the setting for a good majority of the show. Fisher Plaza in Seattle is used for some of the wide-angle exterior shots, but the actual scenes of the show are filmed at VA Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center in North Hills, California.
2. Myrrh End Dab Ale He

Answer: Miranda Bailey

Miranda Bailey, played by Chandra Wilson, was assigned as the resident supervisor for the main characters in the first episode. Dr. Bailey was known as The Nazi and had a reputation for being a tough, but excellent doctor. However, after the birth of her son in season two, many doctors in higher positions began to doubt her ability to focus on her job and thought that she was 'going soft'.
3. Is He Tea Vans

Answer: Izzie Stevens

Isobel "Izzie" Stevens is one of the show's main characters and is played by Katherine Heigl. She was a former model, who posed for lingerie ads to pay her way through medical school. She quit her job as a surgeon at the end of season two, after the death of her fiance, but she opted to return to work in season three.
4. Sir jiggle An Turns

Answer: surgical interns

Meredith, Cristina, George, Izzie and Alex all started their careers as surgeons together at Seattle Grace as surgical interns. They spent a year as interns and then took exams at the end of the third season to allow them to move up to resident status. George failed his exam and in season four started his intern year again.
5. Ed's Sun Mint Gum Ray

Answer: Addison Montgomery

Kate Walsh played Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, who was the wife of Meredith's boyfriend. She first appeared in the finale of season one, "Who's Zoomin' Who?" and stayed on at Seattle Grace as the head of neo-natal care. After divorcing Derek, she dropped the Shepherd from her name. Addison left "Grey's Anatomy" after the end of the third season, and received her own spin-off show called "Private Practice".
6. Hope Pin Arts Sore Jury

Answer: open heart surgery

Dr. Preston Burke, played by Isaiah Washington, was the head of cardio-thoracic surgery at Seattle Grace. He performed many heart surgeries in his three seasons on the show. His girlfriend Cristina was also his protege; he taught her quite a few complicated procedures that she needed to perform for him when he developed a hand tremor.
7. Din He Duke It

Answer: Denny Duquette

Denny Duquette, portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, appeared in several episodes in the second season. He was admitted to the hospital for a heart transplant but the procedure does not happen. When Denny returned to the hospital, for another chance at a new heart, Izzie began spending a lot of time with him and they fell in love. Izzie went so far as to damage the machine that was helping Denny's heart beat, so that the board in charge of determining which patient would get a heart first would give Denny a heart immediately to save his life. Denny had the transplant, proposed to Izzie and she accepted. Shortly afterwards, Denny died of a stroke, a resulting complication of his surgery.

In season three, Denny's father arrived in Seattle to talk to Izzie, and revealed that Denny had been very a rich man.

In fact, Denny had left 8.7 million dollars to Izzie in his will.
8. Mack Tree Me

Answer: McDreamy

McDreamy was the nickname given to Dr. Derek Shepherd (portrayed by Patrick Dempsey) in the first season of the show. Cristina was the first one to use the nickname, and it spurned a whole slew of "McLabeling" - the characters put "Mc" in front of a lot of words when they speak; for example: "McDreamy did the McNasty with a McHottie? That McBastard!" (said by George in season three). One of Derek's little quirks is his love of ferryboats, mentioned several times throughout the seasons.
9. Mixed He Me

Answer: McSteamy

McSteamy was the nickname that the female interns gave to Dr. Mark Sloan, played by Eric Dane. Sloan was Derek's ex-best friend, and the guy that Addison slept with, leading her marriage to Derek to fall apart. McSteamy appeared in one episode in season two, in which he came to Seattle to try to persuade Addison to go home to New York with him, but he left when she would not go.

He reappeared at the beginning of season three, after Addison made what she called "a transcontinental booty call" and stayed on after the Chief of Surgery hired him to head up the Plastics unit at Seattle Grace.

It was an inside joke between him and Meredith to call themselves 'dirty ex-mistresses' because each of them had interfered in Addison and Derek's relationship.
10. Licks See Cray

Answer: Lexie Grey

Lexie Grey, played by Chyler Leigh, is Meredith's half-sister, who went to Harvard Medical School. She first appeared at the end of the third season at the Emerald City Bar, where she flirted with Derek. She then re-appeared at Seattle Grace as one of the new interns. Lexie became a main character for season four.
