Kurt, Penny's ex-boyfriend, has Penny's TV and doesn't want to give it up. When Leonard and Sheldon see Kurt (who is tall and muscular) they return with no pants. Penny sees them come back to their apartment and when Penny realises what happens, she buys them all dinner.

The episode starts with Leonard agreeing to sign for a package for Penny. The package comes and they have to push it up the stairs themselves. After many 'attempts' they finally get it to Penny's apartment. Sheldon calls Penny's apartment a 'swirling vortex of entropy' and when Penny is asleep at night, cleans it.

At the start of the episode, Leonard gets Penny's mail. Leonard then walks to Penny's apartment, but she is actually outside her door kissing another guy. Leonard gives Penny her mail and Leonard goes back to his and Sheldon's apartment clearly depressed. Later in the episode, Leonard goes on a date with Penny, ending badly because of Leonard cutting his head.

After Sheldon gets fired, he starts experiments with lots of new ideas. He goes with Penny to get some eggs for one of his (short-lived) experiments. In the middle of the episode Leonard invites Sheldon's mother over so she can see what is wrong with Sheldon.

His mom flirts with Dr. Gablehauser and at the end of the episode Sheldon asks his mum if Dr. Gablehauser is going to be his new daddy, to which his mum says "We'll see".

The episode begins with Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Howard at the Cheesecake Factory (where Penny is working), Leslie Winkle bumps into them. She needs a new cellist and asks Leonard if he wants the part, he agrees. Although the real reason is she wants to get closer to Leonard.

Sheldon comes to the apartment later realising that Leslie and Leonard are sleeping together. The next day she goes back to the lab. Leonard then comes in and acts 'romantic' but Leslie reveals she used him.

Penny invites the guys to a party. They say they don't want to come because they can't dance, but when Penny mentions costumes they decide to accept. They all originally want to be The Flash but all of them decide to change costumes. Raj comes as Thor, Leonard comes as Frodo (out of "Lord Of The Rings"), Howard comes as Robin Hood and Sheldon comes as The Doppler Effect. Kurt turns up at the Halloween party and he humiliates Leonard.

At the start of the episode, Penny comes into Sheldon and Leonard's apartment saying that Chrissy, her new 'friend' is in town. Wolowitz overhears the conversation and later goes into Penny's apartment and starts chatting up Chrissy. They sleep together in Penny's apartment leaving Penny to sleep on Leonard and Sheldon's couch. Penny joins in in "Halo" night and beats Sheldon at it.

Sheldon asks Penny if she would like to be a part of the "Halo" team, but Penny doesn't accept after she goes dancing with her friends. Chrissy and Howard's mum have a go at each other leaving Howard to return to the "Halo" team and everything goes back to normal.

Raj gets a call from his parents saying they have fixed him up with a girl he used to know during his childhood. Raj cannot talk to 'attractive' women but when Penny becomes a cocktail waitress for more money, Raj realises alcohol is the answer after drinking a 'Grasshopper' (where the episode took its name from). Raj meets Lalita taking a like to her but after Sheldon 'woos' her she goes with Sheldon instead.

While Raj is on the webcam to his parents he points the camera at Sheldon, putting him to blame.

Sheldon thought it wasn't a date.

Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Howard do an internet experiment. Leonard discovers a letter in the bin. Sheldon and Leonard had been invited to a place where they would present their findings in physics. Leonard questions Sheldon saying "Why did you throw it away?". Leonard wants to do the event but Sheldon does not, when Leonard says he will do it himself.

Sheldon appears at the conference trying to 'blow up' Leonard's head with his mind. This causes a fight between the two. Howard was filming it all and put it on YouTube after the conference!

The episode starts with Leonard and Sheldon at the bottom of the stairs with Penny coming down slowly while singing "Out Tonight" out of tune and very badly. Penny tells them about the part and asks them if they would like to come, Leonard makes up a lie after hearing Penny's singing.

Sheldon does not like Leonard's lie and instead talks to Penny and makes up another lie that he has made up himself. His lie is that his drug-addicted cousin Leo (which he doesn't have) had just come out of rehab and was coming to the apartment.

Sheldon asks a physicist he knows to help him out as cousin Leo. Penny later brings home a copy of the show on tape and Leonard has to see it anyway.
