For whatever reason, these 6 teens have had recent run-ins with the law and so must perform community service.

All dressed in orange jump-suits, they are briefed by their probation worker, who tells them that they have a chance to show everyone that they are not scum. His hopeful words are met with smart remarks from Nathan, ignorance from Alisha and attitude from Kelly.

Answer: Irish

Nathan immediately sets out to cause as much trouble as possible. First, he meets the social worker's hopeful words by suggesting that some of the group *are* scum; particularly the group member Gary, who we learn has a very short temper. Nathan continues to undermine the probation worker's authority before asking "are we supposed to be able to understand that" upon hearing Kelly speak, claiming "It is just a noise".

Answer: Rocks of ice fall from the sky

Following the conversation about why they are there, Nathan asks "what is up with this weather?" as a dark cloud looms overhead. The first ice ball to fall is enormous and crushes the car behind the probation worker. As many more begin to fall, the probation worker orders the group inside before anyone is hurt. Gary is already indoors after storming off to clean his hat after getting paint on it.

Answer: She can hear people's thoughts

Following a nearby strike of lightning, the group and the probation worker awaken as the storm begins to die down. The group notice strange moans and twitches from the probation worker, who tells them to go home.

Whilst changing out of her orange jump-suit and doing her hair, Kelly thinks she hears fellow misfit Alisha say something, which Alisha denies. She is then convinced that she heard Alisha call her a "chav" and so confronts her. Alisha, however, looks confused and walks away. Kelly is left feeling confused about this incident, but the viewers may begin to realise that she has a special ability. This ability is to become more obvious to both Kelly and the audience throughout the next few episodes.

Answer: An axe

As Gary smokes in the toilets, the enraged Tony enters. Looking under the door to see if Tony has gone, Gary accidentally drops his phone, which is stamped on and crushed by the aggressive probation worker. An axe then bursts through the cubicle door. The group later finds Gary's mangled body in a locker.

Answer: He has been kicked out

Nathan's mother says that she has to do this so that her relationship with Jeremy can work. Nathan is clearly not a fan of Jeremy (although he uses his own, colourful language). Nathan's smart wit and sharp tongue, we later learn, causes many of his "friends" to reject his pleas to stay at their homes.

Alone, Nathan resorts to spending the night in the community centre. In the morning, he goes to the toilet in the very blood-stained cubicle where Gary met his end.

Answer: He can become invisible

As established already, Simon is a bit of an outcast, even amongst his fellow misfits. Although "weird", Simon can perhaps be seen as the nicest member of the group - the only one to show any immediate concern or emotion towards the others. This empathy is seen in his concern for Gary and in his frustrating attempts to get the others to notice him.

The power of invisibility is not controlled by Simon, but it comes on spontaneously (at first, anyway). He first discovers this ability in the changing rooms when he finds that he cannot see himself in the mirror.

Answer: Kelly

Kelly leaves her site of work after being wound up, once again, by Nathan. Tony tries to physically stop her from leaving, but she does not respond well to this show of authority and swears at him, telling him to let go. As he becomes enraged, Kelly head butts Tony so as to escape.

He then chases her with a large metal pole. Kelly manages to get to the community centre before Tony catches her.

Answer: Curtis's

Initially, Curtis is dismissive of the claims from Kelly and Simon of their new abilities and so goes to open the door to the community centre. Kelly, who warned Curtis of the mad probation worker tries to stop him from opening the door, but it is too late and she is killed. Curtis, however, now discovers that he has a special ability also and turns back time to before he opened the door.

He therefore saves Kelly and realises that she and Simon are telling the truth about their abilities.

Answer: Kelly

Although the front door is locked, Tony manages to smash through the glass of the back door. This occurs only seconds after the group's discovery of the body of fellow community service worker, Gary. After being hit round the head with a tin of paint, the group believe their probation worker to be dead, but as he springs to life, grabbing Kelly's leg, she is forced to finish the job.
