After many hours of labor, Erica finally delivered a beautiful baby and she and Travis were thrilled. Right after the delivery, Erica told Travis that "Travis Carter Montgomery III" had just arrived. Ruth Martin, who helped Erica through the labor, told Erica and Travis it was a good name for the baby but she and Travis had to think of another one. Travis and Erica wondered why and that was when Joe told them they actually had a daughter and not a son. Travis and Erica thought they were having a boy but it turned out their baby was a girl.

They named her Bianca Christine Montgomery (Christine was after Bianca's aunt).

Matt was in the opening scene and he called up Cortlandt Manor to speak to Nina. Palmer's butler answered and he told Palmer that it was Matt Connelly on the phone. Palmer grabbed the phone and asked him what he was doing to his daughter, Nina. Matt told Palmer that Nina enjoyed his company and hung up the phone.

In the middle of Erica's labor, Ruth stepped out of the room for a brief minute and spoke to Cliff about her condition. Matt Connelly went to his bedroom, in his apartment, and saw that Nina was in his bed. He climbed into his bed and he and Nina began to make love. Adam mentioned to Brooke that she would have more power as editor but Brooke exclaimed to Adam that she did not want power.
