Answer: Murari, the watchman

Murari Lal was a watchman in the royal palace. One night, Brijraj, the king of Devgarh and Manyata's father, accidentally knocked down Murari's wife and child while driving home drunk. Determined to take his revenge, Murari kidnapped Princess Manyata. Murari, however, treated Manyata as his own daughter renaming her Moniya.

Answer: He saw a scar on her back

Udayveer was the crown prince of the kingdom of Jaigarh and he and Manyata were childhood friends. Manyata had got the scar while playing with Uday one day. When Uday bumped into Moniya at a nightclub, he was taken aback to see a similar scar on her back. This first sowed the seeds of doubt in his mind regarding Moniya's real identity.

Answer: No

Moniya had not been able to get a proper education as Murari kept moving to different cities with her to avoid being caught by the police. Compared to her, Akash was well qualified and his job as a store manager also meant that he was financially better off than Moniya.

His parents wanted him to marry someone from a similar background and tried to discourage him from getting close to Moniya.

Answer: Udayveer & Jainandini

The families had decided that Jaigarh's crown prince Udayveer would marry Devgarh's crown princess Manyata to unite the two kingdoms. Since Manyata had not been found for sixteen years, the Queen Mother, Mrinalini, reluctantly agreed to appoint Manyata's younger sister, Jainandini, as her heir apparent.

As fate would have it, Manyata is found on the very day that Uday and Jainandini are set to get engaged.

Answer: Akash disappears.

With the change in Manyata's status, it is now the turn of the royal family to disapprove of her relationship with Akash. Further, now that Manyata had been found, the families wanted to formalize the relationship between the kingdoms by getting Manyata and Udayveer engaged.

Manyata resents this forced relationship and refuses to let go of Akash. In a fight between Uday and Akash, Uday accidentally pushes Akash off a cliff. Unaware of this turn of events, Manyata believes that Akash has disappeared and the only way for her to get him back is by being crowned Mrinalini's heir apparent.

Answer: Vijay

Vijay is the son of Mrinalini's daughter, Princess Menaka. Since his father was a commoner, he is not considered eligible to lead the kingdom. Manyata felt that if a contest was being held, it would only be fair if all the Queen's grandchildren were allowed the chance to prove themselves worthy of being the successor. Vijay is touched by this gesture and though he declines to compete, he decides to help Manyata in whatever way possible.

Answer: Jainandini

Unable to accept defeat, Jainandini enlists the help of some of the palace servants to get Manyata killed. Manyata slips into unconsciousness after eating a poisoned fruit. When there is no sign of Manyata at the ceremony, Udayveer comes in search of her. He finds her unconscious and accuses Jainandini of harming her. Jainandini states that she did it because she loved him and couldn't see him marrying Manyata. She also exclaims that it wasn't fair for Uday to accuse her when he also got rid of Akash just to be with Manyata.

Though Uday finally manages to revive Manyata, unfortunately for him, she had overheard parts of his conversation with Jainandini.

Answer: Gets Udayveer arrested

Manyata has Udayveer arrested for his role in causing Akash's death. While Manyata is still mourning Uday's betrayal and Akash's death, a lookalike of Akash is discovered in the form of a politician's son named Aryan. Aryan's father nurses a grudge against Mrinalini and the royal family and father and son together set out to make life difficult for the royals.

Answer: No

Mrinalini had slipped into a coma shortly after Udayveer was released from prison. Thus, Manyata was left to assume the role of the crown princess and help her family get out of the mess created by Brijraj. Before the marriage could take place though, Manyata meets Aryan and is left with no doubt that he is Akash, set to take revenge on her family for his ill treatment.

In an attempt to help him realise the error of his ways, Manyata slips out of the palace on the day of her wedding intending to return before her disappearance is noticed. Aware of her intentions, Jainandini tries to turn the situation in her favour and coax Uday into marrying her by telling him that Manyata had left him stranded at the altar.

Answer: Uday

In the end Manyata realises that what she shared with Akash was just an infatuation while her true love was Uday. When Uday refuses to believe her after being let down in the past, she proves that he means more than the palace by leaving everything behind and returning to her earlier home. Finally the prince and princess get together and have their 'happily ever after' ending.
