"It Should've Been Lorelai"- Not Sherry! Quiz

Answer: This whole morning has been a little "Twilight Zone-y"

When Lorelai mentions that the whole morning has been a little "Twilight Zone-y", Luke says, "Or 'Outer Limits-y'". He clarifies by telling the girls that it was a great show, just as eerie, and in the same era, but no one ever references it. When Rory finally gets the phone, it turns out to be Lane.

Answer: The psalm-a-day line

According to Lane, it is a big rip-off, though, because they have had the same psalm (psalm 79) playing for three days straight! She is really annoyed, because "doesn't a psalm-a-day line imply a NEW psalm every day, not the same, old tired out one from the past two days!"

Answer: words per minute

Paris told Rory that they need more work on the presentation. "Presentation?" Rory asked. Paris then explained that when she listened to her recordings of their mock debates that she noticed that Rory was only talking at a speed of 135 wpm. That was slow.

When Rory asked what wpm meant, Paris answered "Words per minute." Rory thought about it for a second, then insisted that 135 words per minute wasn't slow.

Answer: He is afraid of Paris

It is a very obvious fact that is he is afraid of Paris, because his eyes widen when he sees Paris on the opposite team, he tries to take back something he said in the debate when Paris tries to rebut against it, and he slams himself against a locker when Paris walks by in the hallway.

Answer: No

Contrarily, they argue for it. The judge in charge flips a coin, and when Paris and Rory win the toss, they get to choose. Paris tells the judge that she is for it, and Brad mumbles, "What a shock."

Answer: In ancient Greek

While Sookie and Lorelai are watching Christopher first approach the "audience", Rory is giving her half of the debate. Right before the commercial, Lorelai sees Sherry come in, and Rory says her last words in the debate that viewers can hear. Rory says, "...euthanasia, a word that has its roots in ancient Greek..." Euthanasia is the more common term for doctor assisted suicide, especially for people who feel that it is a good choice.

Answer: It was the fabric

When Sookie asks Sherry how she achieved such a wrinkle-free dress, Sherry told her that it was the fabric. Sookie then told Lorelai, who was standing right next to her, "It was the fabric." Lorelai nodded, because she had obviously heard Sherry tell Sookie, but didn't want to embarrass her friend.

Answer: She didn't look like a diner girl

While Sookie was arguing with Christopher about how good of a chef she was, Lorelai and Rory went behind a corner and talked in private for a second. It was here when they decided where they would bring Sherry, as it would be rude to exclude her from their plans. They then mention Luke's, but decide against it because, as Lorelai put it, "Does she look like a diner girl?"

Answer: white and bright red

Sherry comments on how she loves Rory's school uniform, and that the blue looks great on Rory. When Sherry was in school, she had to wear a white and bright red uniform that looked hideous. Even though Christopher insists that she's putting herself down and looked cute in that uniform, Sherry insists that she looked like a candy cane.

Answer: Wednesday nights at seven

When Sherry and Lorelai are talking in the kitchen, Sherry brings up that it doesn't matter where they are or what they're doing, Christopher always has to call Rory Wednesday nights at seven. (Rory has dinner with her grandparents Friday nights at seven.)

Answer: Christopher

Sherry really wants to get to know Rory- and she wants the bonding to start that very evening. She begs Lorelai to get Rory out of Friday night dinner, and when Lorelai agrees, she decides to invite Christopher, as he'd feel left out and have nothing to do otherwise.

Answer: Emily does, but Richard doesn't until Emily brings it up

Emily answered the door, and asked where Rory was. Lorelai answered by telling her mother that Rory didn't come tonight, but she brought a pretty good substitute instead! "Half of her genes in one nice, convenient, Christopher package!" Richard was offering drinks when Emily asked if Rory was ill, and if that was why she didn't come. Richard then said "Rory's not here?" Emily told him that he should notice when his own granddaughter wasn't here.

Answer: Yes

Not only did he let viewers know that he was living with Sherry when Emily asked him, but it could be seen in this episode's "previously on 'Gilmore Girls'" that he had told Lorelai of this already in the episode with Rory going to her debutante ball.

Answer: He thinks it is a drug reference that isn't funny

For anyone who didn't know, Metallica is the name of a rock band. Lorelai had seen Christopher's car in a previous episode, and they had "cranked up" or simply blasted some music, to show how it had a great stereo system. Lorelai was referring to "blasting the car's radio with music from a particular band", but Richard didn't know that.

He told Lorelai after she said that it was also great for crankin' Metallica, "If that's some sort of a drug reference, it isn't funny."

Answer: It should've been Lorelai

When Lorelai followed her mother into the kitchen and asked her what was wrong and why she kept calling Sherry "that woman", Emily screamed back at her, "It should've been you!" Emily had been waiting all this time for Christopher to get it together so that he could be with Lorelai, and she knew that Lorelai had been thinking that too.

Instead, Christopher had gotten it all together so that he could be with Sherry.

Answer: Yes

He asked her as soon as she walked in, "Is something wrong?" When Lorelai asked why, he said that she didn't seem to be her usual chipper self. She answered by saying that she was still recovering from the previous night, which was one of those nights where you begin by stepping in quicksand, and end up with a 16-ton anvil dropping on your head.

Answer: No

Rory met Lorelai in Luke's the next morning, and Lorelai asked Rory if she'd been sound asleep when Rory got home. Apparently, Lorelai was snoring very loudly.

Answer: at least two

Before Sherry met Christopher, she was seriously considering single parenthood. "That's wanting kids." Lorelai replied.

Answer: all of these

When Lorelai asked Rory if she ever pictured her mother and father together, Rory said, "Gee, I feel like I'm on the 'Ricky Lake' show." But then she answered, yes, the way all kids picture their weird parents together. But she quickly curbed the mushy moment by mentioning that she also pictured her mother with Pee Wee Herman, and Matthew Broderick.

Answer: It's zero-hour

It was 10:00, but Rory said that it was "zero-hour" when she looked at her watch. She had to catch Lane at precisely the right time while she was on her way to 'Bible' class.

Answer: Kirk

Kirk went up to Mrs. Kim, and stopped her in the middle of her walk. "Hi, I'm Kirk." "I know who you are, I've known you since you were two." replied Mrs. Kim. "That's no guarantee people remember me." "What do you want Kirk?" It went on like that, as Kirk asked what the store hours were, and Mrs. Kim told him that as long as you brought money and planned to buy something, they were from 10 to 6. Kirk then had to jot them down.

Answer: 10 a.m. to 6

As said in the interesting info for question 21, part of the plan for Rory to give Lane the CD (that Lane desperately had to have) was for Kirk to stall Mrs. Kim by asking for the store hours. This is what she said.

Answer: That the time of the drop-off had moved from 9 to 10

Michel had been running around for over an hour, and most likely he wore a sweatshirt so that he could hide the CD in its front pocket. He said that Rory was a devil child, and that his cardiologist wouldn't be too thrilled about this. He had a major cramp, and had sweat all down the front of his shirt. "You are your mother's child!" He screamed angrily at Rory. "Thank you!" she replied.

Answer: How dare you!

"What?" responded the surprised Lorelai after this statement. Christopher answered with "How dare you blame me for 15 years worth of failed relationships!" They were screaming at each other in Luke's.

Answer: Yes

A few other customers and Luke were all staring at the two of them, and when Christopher got up and left, Lorelai looked at Luke. Luke was looking her way, but then promptly returned to pouring another customer coffee.
