Lauren: "No, which is a shame, because his transition from professional skateboarding to acting hasn't been as smooth as I'd hoped."

After revealing the plot twist at the press junket, Joey is so afraid that he will be fired. Gina shares that she always has been able to avoid getting fired by performing "the Reverse".
Michael: "Actually, 'The Reverse' paid for my space camp."

Joey didn't realize that the character of Charlie was a little boy. He was hoping to convince Lauren to kill off Charlie instead of him.

Joey: "Oh, yeah, what a cutie. Let me make the case for killing the kid."

Joey gets so excited at the end of the episode when Michael shows him two elves.
Joey: "Gypsies!"
Gina: "Hmm, he gets them confused with elves; always has."

Joey is so touched when he sees how Gina, Michael, and Alex decorated the apartment for him.

There was a constant rivalry between Gunnar and Joey. Gunnar's nickname for Joey played on Joey's insecurity that he would be killed off in the pilot episode. Turned out Lauren found someone else to kill off.
Gunnar: "Hey Dead-o. Guess who finally got a character? I'm a helicopter blade inspector. And I get to play it drunk."
Lauren: "Joey, would you care to come watch this scene?"
Joey: "I think I'd like that Lauren."
