Pauline Campbell-Jones is released from prison early because she agrees to spy on Mickey Michaels for Ross. Ross wants to find out if Mickey is illegally claiming benefits. Steve Pemberton plays Pauline in this episode entitled 'The Lesbian and the Monkey'.

It is because of Vinnie's death that Renie takes on Keith.

The camp actor, Keith Drop, alters his voice and wears make-up to disguise his face which is in fact black with white rings around the eyes and mouth. It is only when a suspicious customer makes an inquiry about a brooch that we discover that Keith is really the wife-kidnapping Papa Lazarou. Despite efforts to catch Papa Lazarou, he escapes.

Papa Lazarou was introduced in series 2. He kidnaps women whom he the refers to as his wives. He is the ringmaster of the travelling circus 'Pandemonium Carnival' which left during the second series when the nose-bleed epidemic broke out. In each town, Papa Lazarou goes from door to door selling pegs.

It transpires at the end of series three that Papa Lazarou is hiding his wives inside his circus animals.
17. Pauline ends up marrying Ross.

Pauline ends up marrying Mickey. Ross enters the church at the end of the ceremony and shows his approval.

We do not find out for certain if Lance died until the last episode of the series. In episode two we see him diving in front of the oncoming van in order to save Pauline. Laurence Llewelyn Bowen is also killed in this episode. He had been called by Sunny as a surprise for Alvin who wanted to re-develop his graden.

There is a plaque on the garden wall of the Windermere Guesthouse showing Laurence's death. All the principal characters are revisited in the last few minutes of the final episode.

Answer: Jeremy Dyson

All four share the writing but Jeremy Dyson does not appear in the show in a character role. Reece Shearsmith, Mark Gatiss and Steve Pemberton play all the main roles - male and female. As a result, the main characters are seldom in scenes together. There are other actors in the production but they do not usually play the principal roles.
