Creator Simon Nye actually began a career as a translator before producer Beryl Virtue saw the potential in Simon's novel "Men Behaving Badly" and sparked interest from ITV and Harry Enfield!

2. What was the name of Gary and Tony's local, where they spent most of their time?

"The Nag's Head" is the name of Del Boy and Rodney's local in "Only Fools And Horses", "The Slaughtered Lamb" is the name of the pub that the two backpackers encounter in "An American Werewolf In London" and "The Corral" is the name of the bar at the start of "Terminator 2: Judgment Day".

In the original scripted ending to the episode, Gary places a can on the top of the TV and knocks it over, causing the TV to explode.

Answer: Six breasts

Gary's design for "the perfect woman" goes as this: six breasts, two-inch nipples, childbirth by a system of eggs and a choice of bottoms. I'm all for the choice of bottoms.
