Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. One of my favorite episodes is "The Movie". Our heroes(?) were supposed to go see a movie together, but nothing is ever easy in the "Seinfeld" universe and it all becomes a chain of mix-ups and poor decisions. Jerry seems to get it worse than the rest, because he doesn't only miss the movie, but also two sets he was due to play that night. Well, he actually ends up at the movies, not with the gang, but with an annoying fellow comedian. What was his name?

Answer: Buckles

No, it's not Bania! Tricky one, eh?

Surely that was the first name to cross your mind when you read "annoying fellow comedian", but Bania still wasn't around at the time of this episode.

Pat Buckles only appears in this episode and he actually plays a big part in hindering Jerry's night schedule, since he shares a cab with him and makes the driver get into a traffic jam.
2. In "The Movie", we get treated to some wacky descriptions of each of the gang members as they're trying to meet up at the two cinemas. All four members get their own description, but only one of them is described by a cinema clerk. Who?

Answer: George

When Kramer comes back from Papaya King asking for Jerry ("the guy with flared nostrils"), the clerk at the ticket booth tells him that "There was a short guy with glasses, looked like Humpty Dumpty with a melon hat" referring to George, who, in turn, was looking for "a guy with a horse face, big teeth, and a pointed nose" (Kramer).

Kramer also gets a wacky description from Elaine: "a tall lanky doofus, with a bird face and hair like the Bride of Frankenstein"

On a side note, nothing beats George's depiction of Elaine. "Face like a frying pan" gets me every single time.
3. "The Understudy" features a cameo by Bette Midler. We learn that Kramer is a huge fan of hers, and we also learn that her favorite flavor of Italian ice is...what?

Answer: Pineapple

Kramer, as a devoted fan, runs frenziedly around the city trying to find an ice vendor that has pineapple.

He then comes back triumphant yelling "I got the pineapple! I got the pineapple!", just before George knocks her down and injures her.
4. Which of the following characters did not testify in the trial at "The Finale"?

Answer: Susan's father

The Rosses intervene at one point, by angrily accusing George of murder after the testimony of the doctor that informed him about Susan's death, but none of them actually testifies in the process.
5. In "The Masseuse", Elaine dates a guy named Joel Rifkin. To avoid being mistaken with the serial killer, they both agree that he should change his first name. Which of the following is NOT a name suggested by Elaine?

Answer: Stuart

It's Joel who suggests the name Stuart, and Elaine dismisses it because she "never met a normal guy named Stuart". She even makes fun of it when Joel doesn't like the names she suggests.
6. "The Label Maker" features Newman and Kramer totally immerse in a game of "Risk". At one point, Newman sneaks into Jerry's apartment and approaches the board with not so fair intentions, but Kramer catches him right on time. He then shouts that he will take one of his territories as a punishment. Which one?

Answer: The Congo

Of the other options listed, Ukraine is the one that ultimately decides the outcome of the game, since a comment on it by Kramer upsets a Ukrainian immigrant in the subway and he smashes down the board.
7. Time to get a little bit pickier. What is George's middle name?

Answer: Louis

Mentioned casually by Jerry in "The Frogger", upon seeing his high score still standing after all the years gone by.
8. In "The Stock Tip", what is the name of the company that George and Jerry invest in?

Answer: Sendrax

Ok, I admit this one was very tough.

It's quite strange that George, being a little "careful with money", actually decides to go into the Stock Market, but it ends up being a success for him (which is also quite strange)
Sendrax is a company that "got some new kind of technique for televising opera, some sort of electronic thingy"

Petramco is the next stock tip that George gets and it's mentioned only at the end of the episode. Play Now is one of the companies George once worked for, and Farbman is the furniture designer that is mentioned in the episode "The Checks".
9. If I decide to go grab a bite at Mr. Yev Kassem's place, what will I be having?

Answer: Soup

In fact, if I screw up while placing my order, I'll be getting kicked out instead.

That's right, Yev Kassem is none other than the Soup Nazi. His name is only revealed in the final episode.
10. "The Andrea Doria" shows George recalling many of his misfortunes to the tenant board of an apartment he wants to move in to. Which of his stories is not mentioned?

Answer: The "Frogger" machine getting crushed by a truck

Out of the four choices, the "Frogger" one happens later in the show, so it was not possible for him to bring it up at that time.
