Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the episode "Hate", three men are brutally killed. What race were they?

Answer: Arab

This episode aired in January of 2004. It starts off with a raped woman being lit on fire. You don't see that every day. This is a very violent episode with lots of graphic language. I'd put the kids in another room before watching.
2. In which episode do detectives Benson and Stabler investigate a woman with multiple personality disorder who may have harmed a young girl?

Answer: "Alternate"

This was the first episode of season nine. Cynthia Nixon from "Sex and the City" plays the woman with multiple personality disorder. It turns out the young girl wasn't harmed by Cynthia Nixon's character. Her parents though didn't get it so easy. She shot them both with a shotgun for molesting her and her younger sister as children.
3. In the episode "Ripped", what kind of athlete viciously attacks the teenage victim?

Answer: Baseball

The baseball player in question happens to be Stabler's ex-partner's son. In this episode Stabler puts the squad's credibility on the line by telling the beaten girl not to press charges. Stabler tries to walk a fine line between being a good cop or being a good friend to his former partner.
4. In which episode does a detective take a personal interest in the prosecution of a deaf doctor?

Answer: "Painless"

This case was initially ruled a homicide until new information surfaced. Detective John Munch can relate to this case on a personal level and a terminally ill embryologist then becomes the main suspect.
5. In the episode "Underbelly", three teenagers are brutally killed. How were they physically linked?

Answer: Tattoos

Each girl killed had a paw print design etched on their skin. They were part of an underage prostitution ring. Detective Stabler and his partner Dani Beck go after a pimp whom they think is responsible for this brutal act with a vengeance.
6. In which episode does a fourteen year old girl try to commit suicide?

Answer: "Resilience"

A fourteen year old girl wanted to jump in front of a train to commit suicide. This in turn leads the special victims unit to investigate the incident and they soon discover that the girl's family is where the problems lie.
7. In the episode "Perfect", what kind of therapy are the detectives investigating?

Answer: Reproduction therapy

This episode aired in May of 2003 as part of season four. The part of the episode with the kidnapped children all turning up at the same time has to make to you feel good inside. The doctor in this episode is a real piece of work.
8. In which episode is an astronaut's body found in a lake?

Answer: "Lunacy"

This is a great episode. It premiered in October of 2008. Stabler is trying to find a serial rapist but sometimes asking for help can make the job considerably harder as this episode shows firsthand.
9. In the episode "Manic", what links the death of two high school students?

Answer: Pharmaceutical company

The two high school students were murdered by their classmate. The teenager who killed them was forced to take medication and this, in turn, caused him to turn violent. The teenager was suffering greatly from the medication's side effects.
10. In which episode does a community activist who used to be a cop become the prime suspect in a police investigation when sex offenders start to get murdered?

Answer: "Victims"

"Victims" starts with a pedophile being found dead with three gunshot wounds to his face. Detectives Benson and Stabler are forced to investigate after they discover that the dead pedophile has a history with Stabler. This episode has some wicked twists.
