Apparently Tony sold his sperm for money while in college. 14 years later, he gets a letter in the mail from the donation clinic asking to speak with him as soon as possible. Tony acts anxious about not knowing why they need to speak to him.

McGee's felt guilty. This was the first person that he has had to kill in the line of duty. When a dead person is involved, his main concern is not with his marksmanship or the grossness of the autopsy. He only wanted the team to find the bullet to reassure himself that he made the right decision.

It still might bother him to know that he killed a man, but it would not be as bad if he knew the killing was justified. Tony later admitted to McGee that the first time he had to shot someone, he wet his pants.

Gibbs tells Ziva that McGee doesn't know how to lie. It is obvious by Gibbs' past and present behavior that he is not fond of Eli David, and, by this episode, Ari is already dead. Judging by Ziva's reaction, she is irritated by this statement, but seems to acknowledge that it is the truth.

Answer: Metro Police

The man McGee killed was a detective working undercover for the Metro Police. The team was initially unable to identify the man by his driver's license because it was a fake. After discovering the ID was fake, they turned to using his fingerprints. Because he was a cop, his fingerprints were in the AFIS database.

Answer: Ziva thinks that there is no bullet to find because McGee simply overreacted

Tony seemed upset because he felt that Ziva should be working harder to help prove McGee's innocence. She felt that looking for the bullet again was a waste of time. She also questioned Tony as to whether or not he always blindly follows Gibbs' orders. Of course he does! Imagine the head slaps he'd get if he didn't.

Abby mentions that she never leaves home without a pair of handcuffs. McGee should have known this, having dated Abby in the past.

For some reason, when he spelled out his name this way, it made me laugh out loud. The playful spelling matches Tony's playful personality. By the way, we later found out that the reason the sperm bank wanted to talk to him was that no one wanted his sperm. Poor Tony, I bet that was a blow to the ego.

Answer: determining who fired the shot that killed the cop

McGee was asking Abby if she was able to analyze the ballistics enough to determine which one of the bullets was the kill shot. The team discovered that the cop's partner, the person in the SUV, initially was the one that shot the cop. When McGee saw the powder blast and heard the gunshot, he assumed the person outside the car was shooting at him, so he returned fire. McGee then struck him with two shots. Ducky confirmed via autopsy, that two of the shots were non-lethal, but a third shot was the kill shot.

It would have greatly put McGee's mind at rest to know that it was not his shots that actually killed the cop. Unfortunately, Abby could not determine which shot was the kill shot.
