Alan Dale plays Director Tom Morrow in the earliest episodes of NCIS. With the death of Agent Todd at the hands of Ari Haswari, Director Morrow tendered his resignation to accept the Deputy Director's position at Homeland Security. Jenny Shepherd, played by Lauren Holly, took over after Morrow resigned.
