Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which episode am I? The Doctor has a choice of letting his precious companion die or taking the risk of regeneration. He saves them but in doing so, he regenerates into a new Doctor, causing his companion to have a bit of a freak-out.

Answer: The Parting of the Ways

"The Parting of the Ways" is Christopher Eccleston's last episode as The Ninth Doctor before regenerating into David Tennant (Tenth Doctor). Rose looks into the Time Vortex in the heart of the TARDIS, causing her to 'die'. The Doctor kisses her and takes the Vortex out but in doing so, he dies and regenerates in the TARDIS. His last words are:
'Rose, before I go, I just wanted to tell you- you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And do you know what? So was I."
2. Who am I? I first meet The Doctor in Earth's past. I am a volunteer and am in the middle of a con. Later, I become immortal.

Answer: Captain Jack Harkness

We first meet Jack (portrayed by John Barrowman)in "The Empty Child", written by the talented Steven Moffat. He is an American volunteer for the RAF (Royal Air Force) in 1941, the height of the London Blitz. He later joins The Doctor and Rose to travel in the TARDIS through time and space.

Then, during an epic battle between the Daleks and the humans on the Gamestation (formerly known as Satellite Five), Jack gets shot by a Dalek but is brought back to life by Rose as the Bad Wolf. Jack then becomes the head of Torchwood in Cardiff, Wales.
3. Who am I? The Doctor and I are best friends and have known each other for ages. My mum, however, is not that fond of him, especially when he takes me away for a whole year.

Answer: Rose Tyler

Rose Tyler (portrayed by Billie Piper) is The Doctor's most treasured companion in the revived series. She stays with him for two of his incarnations (Nine and Ten) before she is cruelly taken away from him. She lives in a parallel universe with a human version of The Doctor, her mother Jackie and her dad Pete, who is originally from that universe. Before regenerating in his Eleventh incarnation, The Doctor goes on a farewell tour, leaving Rose until last.

He sees her on January 1st, 2005, presumably a couple of months before he meets her in his Ninth incarnation.

This is the beginning of the mystery of River Song, a woman who knows The Doctor inside out. She evens knows his real name!
However, when The Doctor meets her, he has no idea who she is. She is visibly heartbroken by this but soon learns that he hasn't met her yet and will soon find out who she is to him.

She lived with her Aunt Sharon before she met him and never knowing about her parents because of the crack in her wall of her bedroom.
Amy is married to Rory Williams (portrayed by Arthur Darvill) and the pair of them have travelled with The Doctor for a very long time.
10. Which episode am I? Amy, Rory, River and The Doctor are in Manhattan, fighting off the Weeping Angels once again. This is Amy and Rory's final episode in "Doctor Who" and they say a tearful farewell to The Doctor. The Doctor is left heartbroken and lonely once again.

Answer: The Angels Take Manhattan

After discovering that Rory has been zapped back in time by the touch of an Angel, Amy and The Doctor take the TARDIS to Manhattan 1938, where the Weeping Angels have taken over the entire city.
Realising that River is also there, the team come to a conclusion that they cannot escape the Angel's clutches. This leads to Rory believing that he must sacrifice himself to create a paradox and rid the city of the Angels. After an intense argument, Amy and Rory jump off a building and the paradox commences.
They return to modern day Manhattan feeling pleased and relieved that they're safe, but none of them notice the Angel lurking behind Rory. He once again gets zapped back and Amy follows suit, not wanting to be alone without him. They live out their lives in the past and The Doctor is in silent brooding.
