Ikari, Rokubungi, Kaji & Lorenz where named after PARTS of ships (Ikari=Anchor/Rokubungi=Sextant/Kaji=Helm/Lorenz=Keel). Except for Kensuke, Touji & Hikari, all characters where named after Japanese ships, aircrafts and cruisers belonging to the WW2 naval vessels. Aida, Suzuhara & Horaki were extracted from 'Ai To Gensou No Fashizumu', a war novel written by Ryu Murakami.

5. The 'Giant Impact' hypothesis is today's most popular explanation for the formation of the Moon. Which particular event in the series resembles part of this theory?

The original theory says that a small and young planet called "Theia" formed near the Earth's orbit and then crashed with it, tearing a small part of the planet, creating its own satellite: The Moon. "First Impact" refers to the same theory, where "Theia" is in fact the "Black Moon" (the 'egg' from where Lilith came), which in addition to the events showed above, it also crashed with the Earth creating the Geo-FRONT (giant hole where NERV HQ were).

6. This Japanese music composer/producer made his first serious works in the 80s, when he collaborated in some projects such as 'Attacker You' and 'Megazone 23'. Later in the 90s, he joined Gainax and produced the music for many of their series (including Evangelion's TV series and movies). Born the August 29 of 1957 in Setagayu-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Through the years, he produced many 'Songbooks' and collaborated in tons of projects (animes, movies, OVAs, etc.) such as 'Nadia', 'Garzey no Tsubasa', 'Karekano' and 'Abenobashi Maho Shotengai' to name a few.

7. During Asuka's 'Death and Complementation' in 'End of Evangelion', we see that the true reasons for which she kissed Shinji were that she knew that Kaji & Misato were going to be together, and eventually, they would kiss too. So, technically, she wanted to feel "dirty" like Misato... she wanted to feel like an adult.

Eventually... this epic movie reveals that Misato prohibited them to kiss, because they were just kids. Maybe Asuka used Shinji to "practice", in case her opportunity with Kaji came along sometime.

There is almost no information about this singer on the internet. The song was written by Hideaki Anno himself and instruments were arranged by our loyal musician: Mr. Sagisu.

9. SEELE's logo is composed by a giant inverted triangle displaying the "seven eyes of god". Nevertheless, there's another logo which has other significant components such as an apple, a snake and a German phrase inside the triangle.

Indeed, there's another SEELE logo, seen in many websites that is composed of an inverted triangle, the seven eyes of god, a big apple in the center (representing the prohibited fruit taken by Adam and Eve), a snake and a German phrase that reads "�berm Sternenzelt richtet Gott, wie wir gerichtet" ("About The Heavenly Firmament of God, is how we direct").

10. In Episode 24, notice that when Misato approaches Asuka's door, there's a sign hanging in front of her, written in German. What does it say?

Answer: "Entry Forbidden!"

The hole sign says: "Authorized Personnel ONLY. If you enter without my permission, you shall die!" (Japanese) "Entry Forbidden!" (German). Shinji's sign says "Shinji's lovely room" (designed by... guess who).
