quiz
Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Annie Camden is the mother of how many total biological children?

Answer: 7

While it is true that Annie only had five children up until the twins were born in season 3, Sam and David were born, increasing the number to seven.
2. What holiday, which has been addressed by "7th Heaven" more than any other holiday, is also the day on which Samuel and David are born?

Answer: Valentine's Day

The twins' birthday adds to the conflicts that can arise in the episodes that deal with Valentine's Day.
3. The Camdens have a basement, a ground floor, an upstairs, and an attic. How many bathrooms do they have on the ground floor?

Answer: 0

For the first part of the series, the only bathrooms were the one in the upstairs hallway, and the one in Eric and Annie's bedroom. Later on in the series a third bathroom was built- in the attic. And of course there is one in the garage apartment- I almost forgot! Surprisingly there are none on the ground floor! And with 9 family members! Wow!
4. About how old was Matt when the twins were born?

Answer: 19 or 20

Matt remarked to Eric about how he himself was old enough to be their father. Eric responded, "That means I'm old enough to be their..." And Matt assured him he wasn't wrong. In reality, Lucy was about 15 or 16 herself, and, in fact, technically old enough to be their mother!
5. Who is a minister as a profession?

Answer: Eric

Annie is a stay-at-home mom, who did teach at Eleanor Roosevelt Private Elementary School for a short time. Eric is a minister, and Lucy almost is one. She was studying to become a minister, and graduated from college where she was training to become one, but she got pregnant and never actually was hired by a church, and therefore isn't a minister yet. Julie is a school teacher, and was a principal until her alcoholism problem got the better of her.
6. Who named the dog "Happy"?

Answer: Ruthie

Although Annie picked up the dog from the pound, and she is Simon's dog, Ruthie got to name her "Happy". The previous owners actually had named her "Whitey". Unfortunately, Happy is still a "star" of the show, regardless of the fact that viewers hardly ever (and I mean hardly ever) get to see her anymore.
7. In what grade was Simon when he got his first girlfriend?

Answer: Sixth

When Simon and Nijel are the only boys in the entire sixth grade without girlfriends and then Nigel gets one, Simon feels very worried about his social status until a girl asks him to go steady.
8. Where did Robbie eventually move to, during season 7, in order to be with his mother?

Answer: Florida

Robbie Palmer and his two brothers have lived with Mrs. Palmer at various times during the show.
9. Did Annie, Mary, and Lucy all get pregnant during the series?

Answer: Yes

Lucy, Mary, and Annie all have their children during the run of the series. Annie has the twins, Sam and David, in the episode "In Praise of Women" during season 3. Mary has her child and names him Charles Miguel, after her grandfather (and Carlos' grandfather). Lucy gave birth to her daughter during season 9.
10. When Ruthie got her period during the episodes "Life and Death (1)" and "Life and Death (2)", who did she tell first?

Answer: Peter Petrowski

Ruthie didn't want it to be a "big deal". It didn't seem like a "big deal" to her, but it wasn't until Eric told her that it wasn't a "big deal" and that Annie just wanted to be a involved that Ruthie realized how much of a "big deal" it was. Annie was really upset when she found this out.
11. What is the first name of Matt's wife?

Answer: Sarah

Sarah Glass is a nice Jewish girl going to the same medical school as Matt, Colombia, to become a doctor. He met her at work. She is wealthy, and loves baseball (the Yankees), hamburgers, and coffee with sugar in it (unlike Matt). She also is the reason Matt has converted to Judaism.

Heather was the deaf girl Matt almost married more than once, and Shauna went to New York for college, and fell in love there. Poor Matt! Laura is actually the name of Barry Watson's (the actor who plays Matt's) wife.
12. I'm not joking about this one- What color eyes do Jessica Biel (Mary) and Beverley Mitchell (Lucy) both have?

Answer: blue

If you look closely at episodes with Mary and Lucy talking to each other in their shared room (which is the case in pretty much every episode at the beginning of the series), you can easily notice their blue eyes. Jessica Biel stopped starring in seasons 6, 7, 8, and 9, but Beverley Mitchell's clear blue eyes can still be seen.
13. Finish this quote from the theme song: "I know there's no greater feelin' than ___ ____ __ family..."

Answer: the love of

The theme song has remained the same throughout "7th Heaven"'s entire run. It begins, "'7th Heaven'... When I see those happy faces smilin' back at me... '7th Heaven'... I know there's no greater feelin' than the love of family..."
14. Add the missing words of this quote in the theme song: "Where can you go... when ___ _____ don't treat you right?"

Answer: the world

The theme song by Steve Plunkett then continues, "The answer is home... that's the one place that you'll find... '7th Heaven'... Mmmmm... '7th Heaven'... '7th Heaven'".
15. Mila Kunis, who played Ashley in four episodes of "7th Heaven", later ended up starring in what show?

Answer: She starred in both of these

In "That '70s Show", she plays the character Jackie Beulah Burkhart. On the cartoon "Family Guy," she began voicing the character of Meg from the beginning of season 2.
16. In the 7th episode of "7th Heaven", "Saturday", Mary un-invites her entire family to her basketball game. Everyone ends up going, in the end, except Lucy. Meanwhile, Eric is worried that his own children will do drugs. When Eric asks Matt why some kids do drugs and others don't, how does Matt respond?

Answer: "Some kids feel like they need to be part of the group. Luckily I'm a loner."

Eric then asks Matt, "What about the rest of them?" Matt assures him that everyone except Lucy has no chance of doing drugs. Lucy might, though, because she always feels left out.
17. Who, according to Matt in the episode "Saturday", should Eric worry about doing drugs?

Answer: Lucy

Later we find out that Annie has smoked marijuana, Matt has been given a joint, Mary has been offered some pot as well, and Simon's friend has brought the same exact drug into the house. "7th Heaven" must really think marijuana is the most popular illegal drug! The closest Lucy ever was to this drug, before season 10 (at least), was when she accidentally was caught at the scene of a drug bust.
18. Viewers first meet three guest stars with major recurring roles in the same episode ("Dangerous Liaisons (1)"). This was the episode where Grandpa brings Ginger, his new girlfriend, to the Camden's, (unannounced,) which causes a great stirr from Annie. This is also the episode where Mary gets hit by a car at the end. Who were the guest stars?

Answer: Andrea Ferrell, Beverly Garland, and Andrew Keegan

"Dangerous Liaisons (1)" is the episode where Mary is hit by Michael Towner's car at the end. In this episode we first meet Heather (Andrea Ferrell), Matt's deaf girlfriend. It is also when we meet Ginger (Beverly Garland), Grandpa's girlfriend (and later on his second wife), and Wilson (Andrew Keegan), Mary's boyfriend who was also a teenage father. Deborah Raffin plays Julie, Eric's sister. Graham Jarvis (who unfortunately recently passed away) played "Grandpa" Charles Jackson. We met him in the first episode. Dorian Harewood played Reverend Morgan Hamilton.

He first appeared in the third episode, "The Color of God". Nicole Cherie played Deena, Simon's long-term middle school girlfriend who ended up moving away.
19. Sam and David are fraternal twins.

Answer: True

Beginning in season 6, Sam and David have been played by Nikolas and Lorenzo Brino, two of four quadruplets conceived through in-vitro methods. Prior to that, all four Brino quads, including the single girl, Miranda, plus two (or more) additional babies were used as "prop" Sam and Davids.

The fact that the twins are fraternal, and not identical, is quite obvious. (Fraternal literally means "brotherly"- basically this type of twins are always just like siblings in terms of genetic makeup. They came from two seperately fertalized eggs in their mother's womb, as opposed to having the same DNA because of the same egg splitting, in which case they would be identical twins. Ever hear of a "Frat" party, or a "Fraternity"? Fraternal just means "like brothers", or "brotherly". I hope this taught some of you something! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me through a note! I'm more than happy to help out!)
20. Mary decided upon being a flight attendant as her career.

Answer: True

Mary refused to attend a college. She tried minimum wage jobs, but kept getting fired. She was sent to live with the Colonel and Ruth in Buffalo, New York. The Colonel then suggested public service. Mary tried the police, but it turns out you have to be 21 years old for that. Who knew? She was really close to becoming a firefighter, but it was too demanding. Turns out flight attending really is what this basketball star does best!
21. We viewers have seen Matt and his wife's apartment in New York.

Answer: True

In one episode, entitled "The One Thing" (where Matt and his wife Sarah begin their rotation in the emergency room), the apartment is seen in the beginning and end.
22. The three oldest Camden children have been married, and we have witnessed all of their weddings.

Answer: False

It is true that Matt, Mary, and Lucy have all been. However, Mary's wedding to Carlos Rivera was never witnessed, as they eloped.
23. Ruthie's real name is Ruth.

Answer: False

Ms. Rainey and Ruthie have a conversation during the episode "See You in September" where Ruthie says that her real name really is Ruthie despite Ms. Rainey thinking that her proper name is Ruth.
24. In the episode "In Praise of Women" (when the twins are born), Simon is praying in the hospital chapel. At one point he falls asleep and awakens to what he thought was God. What was it really?

Answer: Matt joking around in a "God-like" voice

This humorous scene has Matt saying, "Simon... Simon..." with Simon responding, "God?" Matt answers, "Yeah. That's me, kid." "Really? Where?" exclaims an excited Simon. Matt says, "Back here kid." Matt has his hands cupped around his mouth and is in the very back of the chapel behind the pews, laughing at Simon for thinking God was talking to him.
25. What do viewers end up finding out happened somewhere between season 7 and 8 (not before)?

Answer: Simon hit a kid with his car

Lucy turns out to not be pregnant until the opener of season 9, or the cliffhanger of season 8, (depending on how you look at it,) and Mary married to Carlos Rivera at the very end of season 7. Ruthie finds out about the marriage in the opener of season 8 (and so does Peter), but it didn't happen during the summer anyway.
