John was exploring the Flame station when he came across the room with a computer in it. He played the chess game. After keying in some numbers, he stumbled upon an instruction from Dr. Chang. "Sonar is inoperable. Has there been an incursion on this station by the Hostiles? If so, enter 7-7."

Answer: The Oceanic 6 were rescued 108 days after the plane crashed on the island.

The full message that appeared on the screen was "7418880 Electromagnetic Anomaly Detected". The plane crashed on 22, September 2004, which was also the date of the season premiere of "Lost". The Oceanic 6 referred to Jack, Kate, Sayid, Hurley, Sun and Aaron.

There were 324 passengers on Oceanic Airlines Flight 815. Desmond needed to key in the six numbers, namely 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 into the computer at the Swan station every 108 minutes.

Answer: "Catch-22" followed the story of how the castaways planned to rescue Walt from the Others.

The castaways came up with their plan to rescue Walt from the Others in "Three Minutes". In "Catch-22", Desmond asked Charlie, Jin and Hurley to join him in his mission to find Penny when he found out that someone had landed on the island. To his disappointment, Desmond found out that the mysterious person was actually Naomi and not Penny.

He found a Portuguese book entitled "Ardil-22" ("Catch-22 in English) in Naomi's bag.
