Apparently Campbell is unsure of his true motives concerning Grace, thus giving her time to shoot him with a pistol through the lining of her purse. The former barmaid calmly turns and walks away.
2. The series suddenly moves "two years later". Who is being buried?

Answer: Freddie Thorne

To honor a battlefield promise in France, Thomas speaks at his brother-in-law's funeral and discloses the cause of death as pestilence.
3. Two women dressed in black and pushing baby carriages stroll down a street in Small Heath, Birmingham. What are in the carriages?

The ladies park their carriages in front of the pub and hurry away as an explosion destroys the Garrison. Later, Polly enters the rubble and finds green confetti.
4. What does Major Campbell do to stop the execution of a condemned man that he personally hired to murder someone for British Intelligence?

Answer: Nothing

Apparently at some time during the past two years Campbell went from being an inspector to being addressed as major. When the governor questions him concerning the condemned man's insistence that he was working on orders from British Intelligence, Campbell demands that the governor carry out his duties to execute the convicted man.

He also reminds the governor that he knows where he lives should he ever question the matter in the future.
5. Polly is having dreams about the daughter that was taken from her as a child. From whom does she seek help?

Answer: Medium

Many years ago two young children were taken from Polly by the authorities when she was involved with the theft of some sheets. Polly goes to great length to sneak unnoticed into a meeting on a foggy night. Unfortunately both the lady presiding over the seance and Esme, her nephew's new bride, are gypsies, and Polly is infuriated when she discovers how close and talkative the group is and how many people know about the session.
6. What song is playing while Thomas stalks and murders a blacksmith?

Answer: Danny Boy

Thomas is briefly taken prisoner by a gang led by Irishwoman Irene O'Donnell who tells Thomas that he is "chosen" and to "shut your gypsy mouth and listen to instructions." Later when burying the blacksmith he advises his brothers that this is "Irish business."
"Danny Boy" is sung by the inimitable Johnny Cash, who, according to imdb.com has a bit of Irish blood in his veins.
7. Although the family business has been successful and is earning 150 pounds a day, Thomas is not satisfied and wants to expand business southward and encroach on established London criminal factions. With which family group does Thomas say the Italians are fighting?

Answer: Jews

Ada gives her brother a hard time for having a chauffeur-driven vehicle at Freddie's funeral while the rest of the family seems content with the success of Shelby Brothers Ltd. Despite the existence of other brutal London criminal gangs, Thomas is the only one eager to move south and ally with one of them.
8. Campbell drops in unannounced at Winston Churchill's office. What odd thing does he see in the room?

Answer: Naked woman

For a hard-nosed servant of the crown, Major Campbell is strangely embarrassed when he sees a nude model on a sofa in Churchill's office as the future prime minister calmly pursues his art hobby. Campbell informs his boss that after the hanging of his last agent, he has a new one in place.
In addition to being one of the great world leaders of the 20th Century, Sir Winston was a gifted artist and Nobel Prize winner in literature.
9. What punishment do Darby Sabini's thugs inflict on Thomas for speaking the crime boss' name?

Answer: Pull a tooth

Thomas and his brothers lose no time in making their presence in London known as they immediately start a brawl in a club owned by Sabini. Shortly thereafter thugs jump and beat Thomas who, through swollen eyes, recognizes the gang leader and speaks his name. Sabini orders his men to remove his name from Thomas' mouth.
10. As Thomas is about to be murdered by London gangsters, who interrupts his execution?

Answer: Campbell

Moments after Sabini gives the order to finish off Thomas a police whistle sounds and the gang disburses. As Campbell and another man approach the unconscious Peaky Blinder, Campbell comments, "The end of the rope has been this man's destiny since the night he was born."
