Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. At the beginning of the episode, Al's waiter was captured by a mysterious creature. Soon enough, it was revealed that there was a series of abductions going on in Level 31. In fact, Enzo even pointed out the disappearance of a certain sprite. According to Enzo, who disappeared?

Answer: Dot

After Al's waiter was taken away by some strange creature, the episode moved to Dot's Diner. There, Bob was having a conversation with Mouse. That was when Bob was first enlightened about the disappearances occurring in Level 31. Enzo told Bob that Dot disappeared before she could pick up him and AndrAIa from school. Dot was to have a meeting with Al in Level 31, so her disappearance fit the profile of the other abductions perfectly.

Hearing the news, Bob was immediately on the case.
2. To find some answers, Bob headed for Al's Diner in Level 31. After asking a waiter some questions, two special agents showed up to ask Bob some questions of their own. Their names were CGI Agent Fax Modem and CGI Special Agent Data Nully. The characters were parodies of two people seen on which television show?

Answer: The X-Files

Agent Fax Modem was clearly a parody of Agent Fox Mulder from "The X-Files". Agent Data Nully was a parody of Agent Scully from "The X-Files". It was a little known fact that Gillian Anderson, the actress who played Scully, also did the voice-work for Agent Nully in "ReBoot". David Duchovny, the actor who played Mulder in the TV show, did not want to do any voice-work on "ReBoot" so a sound-alike was used for the role.

After Bob was informed by the two agents that they worked for Phong, he decided it was best to ask them some questions of his own regarding the disappearances.
3. While Bob was talking to the agents in Al's Diner, Mike the TV was outside filming a news broadcast regarding the disappearances in Mainframe. Mike the TV gave the run-down streets of Level 31 a brand new nickname. What did Mike the TV call Level 31, after all of the abductions?

Answer: "Streets of Fear"

After his news broadcast, Mike and the rest of his crew were taken out by the mysterious creature that was abducting people in Mainframe. Lucky for Mike, the creature was repelled by something it could not handle. Until Mike was resuscitated, it was not revealed what the creature's reason was for leaving him in the alley.
4. Inside Al's Diner, Bob was talking to the two agents sent by Phong. They had a theory that a certain sprite was responsible for the abductions. Who did the agents think was responsible for the abductions?

Answer: Mouse

After hearing the theory that Mouse was responsible for the kidnappings, Bob shut it down claiming that she was an old friend. Other than the fact that Mouse was near every abduction, the agents' main reason for suspecting her was that she had fangs. Agent Fax Modem suspected that Mouse was a Web creature. Bob thought that theory was even more ridiculous than anything he had ever heard before.
5. After Mike the TV was attacked by the creature, Fax Modem recognised the sound it made. The sound was that of a Web creature. How was Fax Modem so well versed on Web creatures?

Answer: His sister was eaten by one.

Before hearing the noise given off by the creature, Fax Modem was explaining to Bob how his sister was taken. When he was a little null, Fax Modem was reading comic bytes in his bed. He apparently lifted his covers and saw a Web creature hovering above his sister's bed.

It ate his sister, and when he shone his flashlight on it, it let out a horrible sound, just like the one they heard outside Al's Diner. The back-story given by Fax Modem was very similar to that of Fox Mulder's in "The X-Files". In "The X-Files", Mulder's sister was abducted and taken away by aliens when he was a kid.

In the final "X-Files" movie, it was revealed by a psychic that his sister was no longer alive.
6. With some careful searching, Mouse located the area where the Web creature had set up it's lair. All of the sprites that had disappeared were taken there and hung in translucent sacks. After Mouse opened the sack containing Dot, it was revealed what the sacks were used for. What was their purpose?

Answer: To drain sprite energy and feed it to the Web creature.

There were many sacks in the room, all of them filled with the captured sprites. After Mouse breached the sack that Dot was in, some tubes were revealed inside it. Apparently, the Web creature was using sprite energy to maintain it's stability in Mainframe. Thanks to a tracking beam by Glitch, Bob was able to locate Dot, Mouse and the Web creature.
7. With the abducted Mainframers free from the Web creature, it seemed that everything was made right again. Not quite. Dot was grabbed by the powerful Web beast and she was about to be devoured when Agent Modem and Agent Nully did something to temporarily subdue the beast. What did they do?

Answer: They shone their flashlights on it.

Before Dot and Mouse could run away from the creature's lair, it appeared through a vent in the wall. Dot was grabbed and she was almost deleted when the agents activated their flashlights and subdued the beast. It dropped Dot and it remained motionless because of the light. A security team was also on their way, and they had powerful flashlights that could hold the creature for hours.
8. After getting visual confirmation of the beast, Mouse relayed her findings to Turbo, the Prime Guardian. According to another high-ranking guardian in the room with Turbo, the Web creature was a Class-M. What did that mean?

Answer: It could create portals and invade the Net.

When Bob asked Mouse who she was talking to, she revealed to Bob that she was talking to the cavalry. Bob could not believe that she was talking to Turbo and the guardians. He told her that the guardians had one simple rule for dealing with a system with a Web creature in it: destroy the system in it's entirety.
9. Immediately after Bob explained the guardian protocol for dealing with Web creatures, he took Mouse's communicator and examined it. Because the guardians gave it to her in anticipation of her finding a Web creature, it contained a lethal weapon. What was in Mouse's communicator?

Answer: A bomb

Bob grabbed Mouse's communicator and scanned it with Glitch. He found that it contained a bomb and that the guardians wanted to annihilate Mainframe. Bob grabbed the explosive and headed for a place to jettison the bomb, a place where no-one in Mainframe could be hurt by the blast.

While Bob did that, a security team with ultra high-powered flashlights arrived near the Web creature to hold it at bay for just a little while longer. As Bob took the bomb to the safest distance possible, it detonated, producing the largest tear ever witnessed in the Net.

The light from the tear also influenced the Web creature to try and escape.
10. With Bob away, trying to save Mainframe the way he could, the Web creature forced it's escape from the flashlight wielding sprites. It headed for a gigantic tear in Mainframe and it opened up a portal to what system?

Answer: The Web

Because the Web creature was a Class-M, it meant that it could open portals. Because Bob took away the bomb that was meant to destroy the creature and Mainframe, the creature was kept alive. Hearing the formation of a large tear, the creature broke through the solid concrete roof above it and headed up towards the tear.

The creature opened it into a large portal to the Web. Bob was noticeably distressed as he told Phong to prepare for war...
