Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. After beating a space shooting game, Matrix and AndrAIa ended up in a system very close to deletion. The scared binomes noticed Matrix and AndrAIa coming out of the game and made an assumption as to who they were. Who did the binomes think Matrix and AndrAIa were?

Answer: The user

After the scared binomes huddled into a small mass, they suggested that no-one traveled through the games. They immediately assumed they were the user. After that, they asked Matrix and AndrAIa if they were a good user or a bad user, alluding to a popular quotation from "Wizard of Oz". AndrAIa and Matrix explained they were not users, just sprites trying to get back home.
2. While AndrAIa went to look for the head of the system, Matrix traveled through the wasteland, looking for any repairs he could make. During his search he came across a virus battling a young sprite. Did Matrix destroy the virus?

Answer: Yes

Walking through the nullified remains of the sector, Matrix noticed a virus popping up on Bob's glitch. He ran to it's location and found a young sprite battling the giant virus, that looked like a praying mantis. The young sprite tossed a rock at the virus and made it angry.

The virus knocked him down and was ready to delete him until Matrix arrived. As the virus was moving in for the kill, Matrix shot his gun and vaporized the virus's left arm. Matrix then knocked down the virus. The virus begged for mercy from Matrix, but Matrix gave none.

He shot the virus in the head and effectively deleted it.
3. Introducing himself to AndrAIa, what did the command dot com of the system call himself?

Answer: Wise One

Entering the devastated Principal Office, AndrAIa came across the leader of the system. He called himself "Wise One". He said he understood "The One", but "The Wise" was a different story to him altogether. He was a binome shaped like the number one, so naturally he understood "The One". He was old and had a beard that reached the floor.
4. Although they were offered goods to stay and protect the system, Matrix and AndrAIa had to refuse. They said they had to get back to their own home, but they could train others to beat the games. Were there any sprites initially eager to play the games?

Answer: No

Once AndrAIa said she and Matrix could train the sprites to play the games, there was no response. Matrix, using reverse psychology, said that if the sprites don't care, why should he. After his little trick, only four sprites volunteered to help Matrix and AndrAIa, but a fifth eventually jumped in right before the game began.
5. Once in the game, Matrix gave nicknames to all of the volunteering sprites. Which of the following was both a nickname and the real name of one of the sprites?

Answer: Hardboot

The self-proclaimed speedy sprite, Barry, was given the nickname "Overdrive". Gabby, the writer chronicling AndrAIa's adventure, was given the nickname "Tweak". Jeff, the nerdy character in the group, was given the nickname "Tactic". The little sprite whom Matrix rescued from the menacing virus, earlier in the episode, was nicknamed "Backup". Hardboot, the lumbering binome was given the nickname "Hardboot", because his name apparently said it all.
6. The game the seven sprites were playing was called "Kron the Destroyer". The purpose of the game was to get a golden tooth from a statue located in the last level. Fitting with the barbarian theme of the game, Matrix rebooted as a cross between which two movie characters?

Answer: Conan and William Wallace

Conan was the barbarian played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the "Conan the Barbarian" films. William Wallace was Mel Gibson's character in "Braveheart". Enzo Matrix rebooted as a combination of the two characters. He had the clothing and weapons of Conan, but he had the war paint and kilt that William Wallace wore. AndrAIa rebooted as a Xena-esque warrior, while the five other sprites rebooted as random characters like warriors and wizards.
7. At the very beginning of the game, what happened to "Backup", the young sprite whom Matrix rescued from the mantis virus?

Answer: He was carried away by a giant bird.

As the group of seven gamers headed towards the castle which housed the game's objective, "Backup" was taken away by a giant raven. Tactic, the nerdy sprite of the group, picked up the bird's feather and placed it into his bag. Hardboot thought that picking up the feather was a waste of time and effort. Later in the game, however, the feather allowed "Tactic" to fly and reach an essential lever which could not have been reached in any other way.
8. Noticing the absence of "Backup", Matrix deviated from the rest of the group to go look for him. Matrix found "Backup" hanging for dear life from a floor grate. After lifting him up, "Backup" said that what he went through was "pixellacious". Finish Matrix's response: "Yeah, real ____________"!

Answer: Alphanumeric

Matrix was clearly unimpressed by the young sprite's clumsiness, so he said what the sprite did was "real alphanumeric". Alphanumeric was something Matrix used to say a lot, back when he was a kid and known as Enzo. "Backup" really enjoyed the term alphanumeric so he started to use that throughout the remainder of the episode.
9. Right before winning the game for the group, "Backup" was given a gift by Matrix. What was it?

Answer: Matrix's yo-yo

Right before defeating the user and lifting the gold tooth from the statue, Matrix handed "Backup" his childhood yo-yo. "Backup" was happy for the gift, but he was sad that Matrix and AndrAIa were leaving. The yo-yo played a big part in one of "ReBoot's" early episodes.

In that epsiode, Enzo used it to distract Megabyte's men while he and Frisket made an escape from Megabyte's lair. Matrix was leaving something very important of his childhood to a young sprite that likely reminded him of his former self.
10. At the end of the episode, it was revealed that before AndrAIa and Matrix entered the game, they left something behind for the command dot com of the system. What did they leave behind?

Answer: System repair plans

The system repair plans were essential because the system was so badly in need of repairs. Had Matrix, AndrAIa and the five other sprites not won the game, the system would have crashed. With the repair plans, the system could operate for a little while longer. Without AndrAIa and Matrix, the residents of the system would have to win the games alone, but with the training they were given, they at least have a chance to win.

As a new chapter of the system's life began, Matrix and AndrAIa ended up in a new adventure elsewhere.

They ended up "Where No Sprite Has Gone Before".
