ReBoot 3.2.3: "Number Seven" Trivia Quiz

Answer: Bob and Dot chasing Hack and Slash.

When they first entered the game, AndrAIa noticed the system and it's striking similarities to Mainframe. AndrAIa rationalized to Matrix that there was no way it could have been Mainframe. No sooner than she said that, Bob and Dot were seen chasing Megabyte's goons, Hack and Slash. While it seemed strange to both of the sprites, they decided to continue into Mainframe.

Answer: Megabyte, Hexadecimal and Scuzzy

AndrAIa understood that she and Matrix had entered a game-cube to reach Mainframe, so she suggested they reboot. Matrix hesitated because he was scared that he would reboot as little Enzo. AndrAIa comforted him, telling him she'd love him whether he was big or small. With that, AndrAIa, Matrix and Frisket rebooted. Matrix became Megabyte, AndrAIa became Hexadecimal, and Frisket became Scuzzy. If it seemed that things couldn't get any worse, Hack and Slash returned to "report for duty".

Answer: To find "Number One"

Frisket, downloaded as Scuzzy, used the surveillance abilities at his disposal to spy in on Phong, Bob, and Dot's conversation in the Principal Office. They mentioned that Megabyte and Hexadecimal had teamed up, but were acting extremely out of character. Phong then said that the two viruses must never reach "Number One".

After hearing that, AndrAIa made the suggestion that the objective of the game might be to locate "Number One".

Answer: Filed and indexed

Matrix, as Megabyte, went to the Principal Office and tried to peacefully talk with Bob and Dot. Matrix suggested to Dot that he was Enzo, but she denied it claiming that Enzo would never be so vicious. Matrix suggested to her that maybe "Number One" could help him get out of the Megabyte format. Bob immediately attacked Matrix and then Phong ordered him to be "Filed and indexed".

While on his way to the over-sized filing cabinet, Matrix said a quote inspired by the old TV show "The Prisoner". After saying it, Matrix freed himself and escaped back to the "Tor".

Answer: Deleting them all

After Matrix returned to Megabyte's "Tor", he informed AndrAIa that he could not convince Bob and Dot that he was Enzo. Exasperated by his failure, Matrix informed AndrAIa that he must find a way to convince them all that he is Enzo. Immediately afterwards, Megabyte's voice consumed Matrix and said, "Even if I have to delete them all to do it".

Answer: Dot's Diner

Matrix and AndrAIa followed Bob and Dot, unaware they were being led there on purpose. Dot's Diner was the predictable location for "Number One", but something very different was in store for Matrix. AndrAIa had already consumed the role of Hexadecimal, but Matrix could not give in to become Megabyte.

Answer: Bob

Thinking that he would be bursting through the front door of Dot's Diner, Matrix was in a world of surprise when he realized that he was the criminal being tried in a court. Fittingly, Matrix's childhood idol, Bob, was the judge. Dot accused Matrix of becoming everything he claimed to hate, while Hack and Slash called him a mean, bad man.

Answer: Guilty

After Hack and Slash's testimonials, the jury made their decision and called Matrix guilty of all of the charges laid before him. Matrix tried to persuade Dot that he was Enzo, but instead, she attacked him. Trying to hold her back, he accidentally deleted her.

After witnessing Matrix destroy Dot, Bob accused Matrix of betraying the memory of his sister. As the courtroom burst into chants of the word "guilty", Matrix became angry and deleted everyone, before finally coming face-to-face with "Number One".

Answer: Dot

After deleting everything in Mainframe, Matrix ended up in a dark void where "Number One" finally appeared and talked to Matrix. The first "Number One" was Megabyte. He apparently was what drove Matrix on and consumed him. Matrix did not accept it, so he destroyed that "Number One".

The second "Number One" was Matrix himself. He apparently cared for no-one but himself. Again, Matrix resisted and destroyed that "Number One". The last "Number One" was little Enzo. He felt that Matrix betrayed himself. Right after the talk, little Enzo smothered Matrix with an orb, taken from the TV show, "The Prisoner".

The talks with "Number One" provided a perfect opportunity for Matrix to reflect on what was important to him in life. He had a renewed motivation and a stronger personality after finally exorcising his demons.

Answer: He was knocked out by a golf ball and dreamt the entire thing.

After little Enzo destroyed Matrix, Matrix woke up and saw AndrAIa. AndrAIa told Matrix that he was knocked out by a golf ball. Matrix asked what happened to Mainframe, but he realized that he had dreamt the entire thing. Regardless, the life affirming lessons he learned whilst unconscious changed him back to the ambitious sprite, hunting for Bob and his home. Sick of playing games and living like viruses, Matrix decided to end the game early by shooting the golf character's the user played as.
