1. The episode began with a rather comedic musical number sang by none other than Mike the TV. Based on how he was dressed and how he was singing, which now-deceased singer was Mike the TV essentially impersonating?

Answer: James Brown

The episode "Cross Nodes" began with a church-choir-esque song, sung by Mike the TV. In the song, he was singing about Daemon and how great she was. Based on how he was dressed and the wig he was wearing, Mike bore an extreme resemblance to James Brown. James Brown was the great entertainer who sang such mega hits as "I Feel Good" and "Living in America".

He passed away in 2006 at the age of 73.

2. After Mike's rather hilarious song, the Net was shown. There, Matrix and AndrAIa were putting up firewall nodes leading to all of the uninfected systems. Inside the Principal Office, Mouse noticed something unusual about Daemon's infection of the Net. What did she notice?

Answer: Only the Net's pathways were controlled, the systems themselves were relatively untouched.

Placing the firewalls in several of the Net's pathways was one of the most clever ideas that the Mainframers thought of. With the firewalls up, Daemon could not infect the systems behind the walls. Mouse then pointed out that Daemon was not currently infecting the systems of the Net, only the pathways between the systems. Phong then asked if Daemon could potentially infect the entire Net. Bob pointed out that Daemon infected the strongest system of the Net, the Supercomputer.

She could easily infect the entire Net.

3. With Daemon's infection temporarily held back, Dot went over to the null creature that was once her father. As she spoke to it, a flashback sequence initiated. The flashback took place near Wellman Matrix's gateway command. He was trying to do an experiment to find something. What was he trying to find?

Answer: Another system in the Net.

Wellman Matrix built his gateway command because as a scientist, he believed that there could be other systems in what he called, the Net. He wanted to use the command to open up a portal and access new systems and sprites. Dot, the keener as she was even back then, decided to ask her father some questions that the audience could potentially ask him at his presentation.

It turned out that Wellman was very much like Bob. He did most of his thinking and planning on the fly, and he didn't know how to answer the oddball questions.

4. Back at his apartment, Bob seemed to be quite under the weather. AS he fell unconscious, a game began it's descent onto Mainframe. Dot knew that something was wrong with Bob, but before she could call for medical help, the game landed on top of them. As Bob tried to reboot, something happened to him. What happened?

Answer: His reboot attempt produced a large jolt of energy that knocked Bob out.

After Bob downloaded the game info for Dot, the two tried to reboot. Dot rebooted as a mummy queen. Bob also tried to reboot, but his icon produced a red glow and then made a small explosion that knocked Bob out. Dot placed Bob into a secure area. Winning the game was then Dot's responsibility.

5. Trapped in a decimated system of the Net, Matrix and AndrAIa were waiting for a portal while they evaded the guardians. The guardians had a clear goal by chasing the sprites. What was the purpose behind chasing down Matrix and AndrAIa?

Answer: Daemon wanted them to be infected and hear the word.

When Matrix and AndrAIa first entered the system, they thought that it was just like any of the other infected systems they visited. It turned out, though, that the guardians had set up a trap for them. The hole to the Net was sealed up by the guardians and then the pursuit began. Capturing Matrix and AndrAIa turned out to be a difficult task.

6. Inside the game, Dot met up with the user. The user looked an awful lot like the actor Brendan Fraser. In fact, the entire game looked an awful lot like Mr. Fraser's hit 1999 movie that was set in Egypt. What movie was the game based off of?

Answer: The Mummy

As Dot placed Bob into a sarcophagus, the user fired a round at Dot. Lucky for Dt, the user was a terrible shot, as usual. Dot pressed a button on the ground and the 8-ball from the top of Bob's apartment building sealed the hole where the user was peaking out from.

The game was similar to the movie, "The Mummy" in that tt was set in Egypt, there were living mummies, and a Brendan Fraser look-a-alike with guns was the user.

7. Trapped inside an armory, Matrix was bitter about the planned portal not showing up on time. He was also nervous because the portal would appear outside, where 78 infected guardians were waiting for them. AndrAIa was not nervous because the armory had two special weapons that could help them. What was in the armory?

Answer: Two exo-skeleton suits

Matrix was quite enraged at the predicament he and AndrAIa were in. He was made aware by AndrAIa that the guardians were there to capture them not delete them. Matrix wanted to delete the guardians, but AndrAIa told him that they were unarmed guardians and that they couldn't help what they were doing. Matrix then asked AndrAIa how they planned to fight off the guardians while they waited for the portal. AndrAIa moved her legs and revealed that she was sitting on a pair of exo-skeleton suits, the very same models as seen in the first episode of season two.

8. Because of the user, Dot could no longer battle with him. Before the user could win the game, however, a fully wrapped mummy ended up destroying him and winning the game. Who did the mummy turn out to be?

Answer: Hexadecimal

When Dot tried to defeat the user, he raised a cross. Because her character in the game was a resurrected mummy, she was instantly aged by the cross. As the user headed for the "Scroll of Life" and victory, the unexpected mummy launched out of a tomb and took out the user.

When the game ended, it was revealed that the sprite responsible for winning the game was Hexadecimal. Hex's full transformation was also seen for the first time. She had donned a full white suit and she was no longer a virus, but a regular sprite. Because she had turned into a sprite, she had also lost all of her viral powers.

9. Equipped with the weapons they found in the armory, AndrAIa and Matrix exited the sealed room. They found all 78 of the guardians waiting for them. Turbo, the infected Prime Guardian, was also there to greet them. A zoom-room headed down to the ground to try and pick up one of the two sprites. Which of the two did the zoom-room capture?

Answer: AndrAIa or Andraia

In season three, Matrix met up with Turbo, who was infected by the virus but was still able to fight it's infection. He promised to help them while he fought of the infection. In season four, Turbo was fully infected and trying to manipulate Matrix into surrendering. Matrix and AndrAIa began to fight the guardians, using the exo-skeleton suits they found.

The guardians were taken out rather easily, but Daemon locked onto Turbo's icon and sent a zoom-room down for Matrix. AndrAIa noticed it and pushed Matrix into the portal to Mainframe.

The zoom-room ended up picking her up and then Daemon promptly infected her. Matrix was extremely heart-broken when the portal closed behind him and he realized that AndrAIa was trapped.

10. Before the episode concluded, Mouse revealed to Phong and Dot that the Net had been 92% infected by Daemon. Phong was very desperate for answers so he asked Dot what they were going to do. Did Dot have an answer?

Answer: No

After AndrAIa's infection, almost all of the sealed systems were infected by Daemon. Only some isolated systems that were unconnected to the other networks were left uninfected. The total infection rate was 92.18% of the Net. Phong wanted to know if there was anything that could be done. Extremely out of character, Phong desperately asked Dot for answers.

When he asked her what they could do, she did not respond. She had no answers...
