Adam sold the game system to Russell when Jennifer agreed to do her own hair. However, after the problems she had with the hair color, she and Adam agree that they'll have to save money in other ways instead, and Adam will get his game back. At the end, Russell's date points out that he seems more interested in playing the video game than in her.

He realizes she's right, which scares him, so he rushes the game back over to Adam and tells him to take it, he doesn't want it anymore.

While waiting for the rental car for their romantic weekend trip, Jennifer and Adam find that they agree on how many children they want, where they want to live, and that they both want two dogs. When Adam begins talking about how Jennifer's days will go once they have kids, she gets upset because Adam thinks that all Jennifer will be doing is driving the kids to school, taking yoga classes and walking their dogs.

She tells him she might not have time for all of that because she'll be running her own graphic design firm. Jennifer goes home mad and Adam rides around by himself in the rental car, until they make up.

After Jennifer and Adam bring the subject up at lunch, Audrey and Jeff begin discussing having children. Early in their marriage they wanted to wait, but then after they tried for a while, nothing happened. Jeff tells her that he'd like to have a son, and after the look Audrey gives him, he says "or a son and a daughter".

They go to a fertility specialist to find out where the problem is, and it turns out to be with Jeff.

Russell comes across an older woman named Constance who lived in the same building he did when he was a teenager. The two of them had had a liaison on his 18th birthday, which Russell claims was marred by the woman's cat, Snuffles. Russell decides to go out on a date with Constance, and is attacked by her current cat, who doesn't seem to like Russell much.

Jeff and Audrey run into Jennifer and Adam at the diner, and Jeff asks if there's anything Adam wants from the sports apparel warehouse where he gets freebies. Jeff cautions that the items are slightly irregular, prompting Audrey to mention that the last t-shirt Jeff got from there gave him a rash. Adam says he could use a hooded sweatshirt, which Jeff brings by Jennifer and Adam's apartment.

He tells Jennifer to let Adam know that there is no face hole in the hood, but other than that it's perfect.

At the diner, Russell asks Adam and Jennifer if they think he's pale (Jennifer replies that he's almost clear), and he finally admits that he's being harassed by a kid about his skin tone. The kid calls Russell Albino Boy, Milk face, and tells him that the pigment factory denied his application. Adam and Jennifer don't do much to make Russell feel better, especially after finding out that a kid is harassing him.

Russell thinks the coast is clear so he and Adam enter the school playground. The bully appears and asks if Adam is Russell's girlfriend. He then starts making comments about Adam's hair gel, moisturizer, purse and eyelashes, and calls him a pretty boy. Russell takes advantage of the diversion to talk to the teacher, leaving Adam to the bully. Adam then determines that he needs something to help him look rugged.

After Jennifer tells him what happened with Jeff, Adam knocks on Jeff's door and challenges him. Jeff shuts the door on Adam, breaking his nose. Adam, with a broken nose, and Russell, having put some sort of fake tan on his face, show up at the school again.

The bully taunts them, and then cries to the teacher that Russell called him a bad name, ending any chance Russell has with the teacher.

Jennifer suggests to Adam that they save money by doing away with Adam's storage unit, so he brings his things to the apartment. While going through his boxes, Jennifer notices several photos of Adam with Polynesian-looking women. Immediately after this, he walks in and excitedly shows her his hula dancer lamp which he wants to put by the bed.

She wonders why he's with her when she doesn't seem to be his type. When they go to the club opening of Russell's girlfriend, Jennifer is appalled to see that the club is Polynesian themed.

When Jennifer sees a waitress, dressed as a hula dancer, showing Adam how to eat poi, she confronts him with the fact that she doesn't know where their relationship is headed, if anywhere. He then takes her across the street from the bar where they first met, and goes down on his knee to propose to her again, this time with a ring.

She says yes, of course.

When Russell first brings Jessie in to the diner, he introduces her to everyone, and Adam offers his hand. Jessie shakes it and innocently makes a comment which Russell wants to put a filthy connotation to. The others don't notice at first, but Russell tells them she always talks like that so she must be obsessed with sex.

At the opening of the club she's managing, almost everything that comes out of her mouth, although innocent on her part, has a double meaning which drives Russell crazy. When Jessie gives Russell a clicker and asks him to keep track of how many people are coming in the back door, he instead keeps track of each thing she says with a filthy meaning.

He eventually realizes, to his dismay, that she really doesn't mean anything by it.

Audrey is cleaning out their closet, but Jeff doesn't want her to get rid of his old t-shirts even though he can't wear them anymore. He tells her they all have great memories for him, so Audrey surprises Jeff with a quilt which she has the t-shirts made into. Now though, he constantly talks about the good times each t-shirt reminds him of, making Audrey feel that he hasn't had any memorable times with her.
