Answer: his son is born

Jackson, or Jax as he is commonly referred to, becomes a first time father to a premature son. His estranged wife, Wendy, is a struggling drug addict and we see her give in to her demons while approximately 30 weeks pregnant. Jax later admits he did not do right by his son, even before his birth, because he allowed Wendy to push him out of the picture. Jax also admits he married Wendy because he was lonely and wanted to settle down. Wendy overdoses and has the baby too early, and the infant has to cope with some life threatening challenges. Jax says on more than one occasion that he wants a change in the club for the sake of his son, and shows evidence of such. He also begins to read the book left behind by his deceased father John Teller, and finds out that John had better in store for SAMCRO.

Drea de Matteo plays Wendy, but she may be the most famous for portraying Adriana La Cerva on HBO's "The Sopranos".

Answer: doctor

Tara left Charming many years prior to the start of the series. Though Jax's demeanor toward her is gentle and affectionate, we do learn that he was devastated by her departure. Jax's mother Gemma dislikes Tara for the pain she caused Jax, and offers frequent veiled threats for Tara's consumption. Tara never shows real signs of fear toward Gemma, and it appears though Gemma respects that in some small way.

As season one rolls on, Tara inadvertently brings a threat to SAMCRO and Jax is forced to deal with it violently.

Answer: Clay is Jax's step-father

Clay Morrow, played perfectly by Ron Perlman, married Jackson's mother Gemma after the death of John Teller in 1993. Jackson is Clay's Vice-President of the club, and as season one unfolded I became sure he was the behind the death of Jax's father. The pair continue to have huge differences of opinion on how to operate in season one, culminating with the decision to kill off one of their own members, Opie Winston. Clay's choice backfires and Opie's wife Donna is killed instead.

Afterward, Clay discovers his suspicions were incorrect and orchestrated by a very determined FBI agent named June Stahl.

The club has to deal with the ramifications of Donna's death in season two.

Despite his early entrance into the world, and the troubles that immediately followed, Abel survived. Tara took special care of him during his time in the hospital, despite the frequent run-ins with Gemma. Gemma, always running her agenda, even tried to convince Wendy she could have Jax back now that she was clean. Gemma detests Wendy, but could see her as the easier to control of two evils in comparison with Tara. Jax has his son's name tattooed on his left chest muscle.

Answer: he burns it

Jax sways back and forth with his conscience. After reading some of the story, he tosses it into a fire. He quickly changes his mind and fishes it out. Gemma later finds it while she is getting his house ready for Abel's homecoming. She tells Clay about it, reminding him once again that Jax is turning away from what the two of them want for the club.

This scene once again had me thinking that either she or Clay, or both of them, had John killed to prevent him from interfering. I think she destroys that copy of the manuscript, but at the end of season one Piney gives Jackson his own copy and says "it's time for a change". Piney is one of the original members, and Opie's father.

Answer: Gemma smacks her in the face with a skateboard

On the run upstate to potentially "patch-over" the Devils MC, Kip (Half-Sack) meets Cherry at their club. The two take an instant liking to one another, which prompts Clay to sleep with her as payback for Half-Sack's remark about Gemma's sexiness. Cherry is a hangaround chick, which means she does whatever she is told in the hopes of eventually becoming someone's old lady. Once a woman becomes an old lady, she is off limits sexually.

She is disappointed to have to sleep with Clay, and later comes to Charming in the hopes to become Half-Sack's old lady. Since he is still just a prospect, he has to be allowed to have her stay. Gemma is furious when she realizes that Cherry slept with her husband and takes her arrival in town as a flaunt against her.

This causes Gemma to strike out, literally, with a skateboard to Cherry's face. Cherry apologizes to Gemma for coming to town, but assures her that she just wants Kip. Gemma allows her to stay, and Cherry and Kip become closer. Sadly, Agent Stahl ends up using Cherry's past against her, and Jax helps Cherry leave town. Taryn Manning plays the part of Cherry, whose real name was Rita.

Answer: Tig Trager

Agent Stahl out does herself when she arranges for Opie to become a rat. She has an eye witness for the a murder Bobby committed for the club. Opie was supposed to pull the trigger, but Bobby had to step in and do it for him. The eye witness is a teen-aged girl, who can only clearly identify Bobby. So, Stahl brings Opie in, because she is sure the other description is him, though it's less accurate.

She retrieves Opie and his family without force of any kind, pays off all his outstanding debt, and holds him for three days. All of her contrivances are convincing, and the club is highly suspicious of Opie when he is released.

His father knows he did not rat out Bobby and the club, as does Jax. But, Stahl has a tracking device installed on Opie's truck and in his cellphone, to continue the charade.

She does not intend for Opie to be killed, just that he would cave-in during the time he was in custody. Tig amps up Clay about the tracking devices, and Clay finally decides to kill Opie for the sake of the club (or more for himself). Though, by law, the witness will be disclosed to the club lawyer the following day.

After Abel's welcome home party, Opie and Donna switch vehicles and the rest is history. Tig open fires on the truck at a stoplight, believing Opie to be inside. Clay tries to stop him, but it is too late. Sprague Grayden played Donna Winston.

Answer: False

After SAMCRO finds out the location of her safe house, a few members travel there to silence her. Tig is going to kill her, despite showing signs he does have a conscience for the first time. He looks ill at the idea of doing it, but tells her he has no choice. Jax arrives in time to stop it, and has to fight with Tig to make his point clear.

Afterward, he informs her that she will not testify at all, because he will not always be around to save her from Tig. He even drives the point home more when he takes off her mask and shows her all their faces.

She knows then, she either does what she is told or she will die. Jax gives her a wad of cash and tells her to leave California that night.

Answer: Tara

Tara had a restraining order against Scott from the time the pair had lived in Chicago together. They'd dated until Tara became too afraid of him and finally she just ran home to Charming to feel safe again. He then comes to Charming on what he he claims is official business, but is finally found out to be full of it.

He gets sent away by law enforcement, but comes back to town for Tara. She tries to appease him, but he finally loses it and she shoots him. He does not die, so she calls on Jax for help.

When he gets there, Scott is ranting on about what a whore Tara is, which causes Jax to put a bullet in his head. He and Tara make love afterward and then Jax disposes of Scott's body. Jay Karnes, who played Dutch on "The Shield", portrayed the psychotic control freak Agent Kohn.

Answer: Opie

The people who know for sure are Clay, Tig, and Gemma. Later, Jax confirms his suspicions and allows Piney to confirm his own. Opie believes the lie setup by Clay and Tig, that a rival club did the deed. It is the this final act of mayhem that causes Piney to pull out his manuscript of John Teller's and hand it over to Jax in a show of support for the eventual ousting of Clay.

It is time for change, which I think is the theme of the series. Change and redemption rolled up with the intense conflict of love, loyalty, and survival.
