Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. As is almost always the case, this episode begins with a mini-tragedy befalling JD, what happened this time?

Answer: His scooter, Sasha, is gunned down by police

In THIS episode, cops gun down Sasha while trying to apprehend a crook, poor JD's insurance hadn't kicked in yet.. the other tragedies occurred in different episodes.
2. Who first mentions the $100 million lottery that gets all the hospital (except Dr. Cox) excited?

Answer: Ted

Ted mentions it to Carla, and mentions he would use the money to get separate beds for he and his mom. Carla then mentions he could use the rest of the money on therapy.
3. The majority of the episode focuses on the death, and possible negligence in caring, of which patient?

Answer: Mr. Foster

Mr. Sutton (played by Jason Bateman) was the ungrateful garbage man whose life JD saved, Mrs. Wilk is an elderly patient being treated by Carla, when Elliot is kissing Millie's husband. But Mr. Foster is the patient who dies unexpectedly.
4. How does Elliot repeatedly try to distract men from her kissing story?

Answer: She starts talking about shoe shopping

It works like a charm on JD and Turk, and even the rest of the hospital staff at the inquiry, EXCEPT Dr.Cox, who was immune to it because Jordan used to do the same thing. Talking about lingerie is what brings men BACK to focusing on the now.
5. All the main characters had different ideas for the $100 million. Which of these ideas is NOT matched up with the right character?

Answer: Jordan - gets a robot groom

Elliot actually envisions having a robot groom. Jordan, although seen trying to seduce her way out of Dr. Cox's glass box, is not really featured in this episode.
6. When JD suggests Turk help him get a "thank you" from Mr. Sutton, Turk reminds JD that JD tried just as hard to get the cafeteria staff to admit they were serving him small waffles. What did the cafeteria workers do to JD?

Answer: They waffle ironed his foot

In a disturbing scene, we see that JD's foot is still "waffled".. nonetheless Turk agrees to drive JD to try to get a thank you.
7. While trying to get a "thank you" from Mr. Sutton, JD and Turk are attacked by ostriches, one of whom, sneak attacks Turk in his car. What was the car-loving ostrich's name?

Answer: Leon

Leon is the ostrich, Julian is the manatee that lives in the underground water tunnels in a different episode, Bambi is Carla's pet name for JD, and Gandhi is the name Dr. Cox always calls Turk.
8. When Dr. Kelso sums up why no one was there for Mr. Foster as he was dying in the hands of the interns, which of these is NOT one the conclusions he comes to?

Answer: JD was giving an inner monologue/daydreaming

While Turk was stuck in traffic, Carla was losing the lottery, and Elliot was - as Dr. Kelso puts it - "incapacitated" (Millie had duct taped her to the wall outside the hospital with a sign saying "Hi, I'm a whore"), JD was actually busy hugging his garbage man.
9. OK, now the big question and answer revealed, according to Kelso who is ACTUALLY responsible for the death of Mr. Foster?

Answer: None of these

Its revealed by Doug, who comes late to the panel (he lost his car keys in a patient) that Mr. Foster died from a pulmonary embolism that the radiologist had incorrectly diagnosed. So JD, Carla, Turk, and Elliot were all actually working under false information and thus couldn't be held responsible. Dr. Kelso then turns his anger to Dr. Flannery, the radiologist who missed the embolism.
10. After attempting to "celebrate" the fact that Mr. Foster's death wasn't technically their fault, Dr. Cox rains on the gang's parade by actually saying it COULD just have easily been their faults. What effect does this later have on JD, Carla, Turk, and Elliot?

Answer: They carry the memory of Mr. Foster like a ghost with them, making them work harder

While all of these would have been possible results for the end of the episode, in the end we see the gang haunted by his memory, which makes them want to prevent it from happening again. Thanks in part to Dr. Cox reminding them of the family thats left behind by Mr. Foster's death
