When Elliot returned to Sacred Heart, her interns were very impressed with her "expertise" in endocrinology. Turns out she had cheat sheets strategically placed all over the hospital, including one she had taped to J.D.'s chest.

Janitor and Dr. Cox became "bar buddies" and snuck into J.D.'s room. They stripped him and placed his bed in the hospital parking lot. They even took their picture with a sleeping J.D., which Dr. Cox later had blown up into a poster. Janitor took J.D.'s money and burned his bed.

J.D. was the only person with Jordan after she gave birth, so he convinced her to name the baby Jennifer Dylan, so she will, of course, be called J.D. Jordan originally agreed to let J.D. be the godfather as well, which didn't sit well with Perry. She finally gave in to Perry, and they decided that little J.D.'s godfather would be her brother, Jack. Carla is her godmother.

Janitor had a crush on Elliot, whom he always refers to as "blond doctor." She agreed to go out with him once so Janitor could win a bet with Dr. Cox.

Dan brings J.D. a cake when he comes to tell him that their father, Sam, has died. Apparently, cakes are a Dorian family tradition when there's a death. Dan spent the majority of this visit in the bathtub, drinking beer. Sam Dorian was played by the brilliant John Ritter.

Carla agreed to take care of Jack so she could get a feel of what it was like to be a parent. She didn't think she could handle it when he started to get on her nerves, so she left him with Janitor. Jack got hold of Janitor's paint sprayer and painted himself green.

This was a pretty creative episode, full of references to "The Wizard of Oz," including a nice rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Sam Lloyd's a capella group, The Blanks.
