Answer: His mother

At the end of season 8, we got quite a shocker when we learn that Sheldon had a ring, which he showed to us right after Amy said via skype that she needs to "take a step back." One might assume she meant that they were breaking up, but at the beginning of the first episode in season 9, Amy implied that they hadn't broken up just yet, she just needed time to think about it.

However, Sheldon wouldn't give her any time to think about it. He so desperately wanted to know that he went to see Amy every chance he got. To make matters worse, he unintentionally insulted Amy when he told her that her eggs wouldn't last forever. That was when Amy broke up with him.

Afterwards, Sheldon called his mom to tell her that he and Amy broke up and that he wanted to return the ring to her.

His mom told him to keep it because his sister was married and she didn't want his brother marrying the girl he was dating.

Answer: He mocked her on Youtube

Sheldon wanted to continue "Fun With Flags" with Amy. He started doing the show with Amy and he wanted her to continue to be an integral part of the show. However, Amy was only doing it because she was Sheldon's girlfriend. After they broke up, she didn't want to do it anymore. So Sheldon continued it by himself and made a "Fun With Flags" using flag analogies to mock Amy. Amy came to Sheldon's apartment angrily demanding that he take it down.

Sheldon deluded himself into thinking that her watching it meant she still wanted to be with him.

Answer: They had a flat tire

These four genius physicists didn't know how to change a tire. They tried a number of different methods, but these methods backfired and they burned down the van. How they got home is a mystery that was never revealed.

Answer: We Will Rock You

One of the methods that the men tried to change a tire happened to rhyme with "rock" so Howard and Raj starting singing "We Will Percussive Shock You" like "We Will Rock You". Sheldon joined in and sang one of the verses. The other guys were baffled that he knew the song because he doesn't know many popular songs. Sheldon said, "I have an eidetic memory. Sometimes it's a curse."

Answer: Thor and Indiana Jones

"Thor and Dr. Jones, Thor and Dr. Jones. One plays with lightning. the other plays with bones." They both loved their song, as do I, and upon Stuart's request, they played it at the comic book store for free. However, Stuart and Emily complained that you can't dance to the song.

Answer: Barry

The guys got a fencing lesson from Barry Kripke. During the lesson, Barry overheard Sheldon and Leonard talk about Amy. Barry asked what was going on with Amy, and Sheldon told him that she broke up with him. Barry said, "Good to know." Leonard told Sheldon this meant Barry was interested in Amy.

Sheldon was upset about this, and decided to challenge Barry to a duel in a few years, hoping Barry would teach him well enough in fencing to defeat him. In the end, Amy was not interested in Barry.

Answer: Through the black market

They asked Barry Kripke first, but he refused. So, Howard connected them to a black market dealer. Sheldon had difficulty trusting the black market dealer, and the money and helium changed hands three times, with an added condition that the black market dealer must watch a movie with Sheldon and Leonard in their apartment.

Answer: Leonard and Penny

Wil Wheaton and Adam Nemoy came to Sheldon's apartment to do a documentary on Leonard Nemoy. Sheldon decided to show everyone the napkin that he got from Penny in season two, which was autographed and mouth-wiped by Leonard Nemoy. The napkin was hidden in a box hidden in a safe. Penny asked what else was in the safe and Sheldon willing revealed everything, including the engagement ring.

When Sheldon sayid that he was going to give it to Amy, Leonard and Penny were shocked. They forced Sheldon to admit that, despite what he said, he had not mastered the emotionless lifestyle that Spock led, and that he had feelings for Amy.

Sheldon then decided to give the ring to Amy, but changed his mind when he saw her with another man.

Answer: Vanessa

Sheldon decided that to find a woman, he would have women compete for him by solving a series of puzzles. The idea was, if the woman could solve the puzzles, she was intellectually compatible with Sheldon. Howard and Raj initially laughed at the idea, but then they helped Sheldon make the quiz.

The plan worked, and a beautiful woman, played by Analeigh Tipton, a former contestant on "America's Next Top Model" showed up at the door. Sheldon liked her, but rejects her because she had missed the deadline he'd set for someone to solve the puzzles.

Answer: His birthday

Even though Penny threw a birthday party for Leonard back in season one, somehow in this episode she did not know his birthday. Leonard was disgusted by this and asked her how she did not know his birthday. Penny told him that he surely doesn't know everything about her. Leonard proved her wrong by listing a bunch of things he knows about her, but he upset Penny when one of the things he mentioned was something she never told anyone but only wrote in her diary. Apparently, reading your wife's diary is worse than not knowing your husband's birthday.

Answer: Beach Boys

Sheldon spent nearly an entire episode trying to figure out which song was stuck in his head. Since his humming was vague, no one could help him and he thought he was going crazy. However, eventually he realized the song was "Darlin'" by the Beach Boy and it was stuck in his head because it reminded him of his feelings toward Amy.

Answer: Have sex

Originally, Sheldon wanted to see the new "Star Wars" movie on opening night with his friends, but that day happened to be the same as Amy's birthday. Professor Proton appeared to Sheldon in a dream and convinced him that Amy was more important than "Star Wars". So, Sheldon decided to skip "Star Wars" and do something for Amy.

Sheldon had three ideas and he presented them to Penny and Bernadette and asked them which one Amy would like the best. One of the ideas was to have sex with Amy, which shocked the girls.

They told Sheldon to do that one, and he agreed. They also informed Amy of Sheldon's plans, so she created a romantic atmosphere at her apartment. Sheldon enjoyed the sex more than he thought he would, and he decided that he would have sex with her again on her next birthday. Amy was okay with this.

Answer: Asteroid

Sheldon and Raj discovered a medium-sized asteroid together. They agreed to name it after their girlfriends and combine their names. Sheldon wanted to take "Am" from "Amy" and the "y" from Emily. Raj didn't like this idea as it was obviously just Amy, but agreed on the condition that Sheldon and Amy name all their kids Rajesh, even the daughters.

Sheldon agreed, then irked Amy when he informed her of the deal.

Answer: They took care of him while he was sick and he was rude

Leonard, Penny, Howard, Bernadette, Stuart, Raj, and Emily all tried to take care of Sheldon when he was sick. Sheldon was ungrateful to all of them and said offensive things to them. Most of all, he offended Emily by saying dermatologists are not real doctors. All of them except Stuart agreed to go to Las Vegas without him.

Sheldon and Stuart crashed the party bus that the other guys rented, but they kicked them off. They then changed their minds and decided to invite them.

Answer: Sheldon's grandmother

Sheldon's grandmother, or "Meemaw" as he calls her, visited Sheldon to check out Amy. They initially didn't get along, as Meemaw scolded Amy for breaking up with Sheldon. She also told Sheldon not to give her the engagement ring, making this the first time Amy learned about it.
