They had a flashback episode that showed how Ricky and Amy met and what happened between them. Amy was really nervous because she had a crush on Ricky. Ricky started talking to her and asked her out on a date. They went to a restricted room and ate pizza and talked a little.

They then moved onto the couch and talked. He kept saying how pretty she was, and then he started kissing her. It was then implied that that's when they had sex. Well obviously; if they hadn't, then she would not have wound up pregnant, now would she?

The night that her father died was the night that Grace and Jack had sex for the first time. She immediately blamed herself for her dad's death because she knew for a fact that her father would have disapproved of her having sex before marriage. She was so upset that she began pushing everyone away, including, and especially, Jack.

It was Ricky who finally got through to her at her father's funeral when she refused to get out of the car.

Ricky's dad is a really bad guy. From the moment that he arrived into that town, he was up to no good. He definitely brought out a side in Ricky that we hadn't experienced before: protective and vulnerable. And even though his dad was such a scumbag, the only reason he went back to jail was because of a parole violation; he was caught buying drugs.

The only reason that Ricky's dad came back wasn't to see his son, but to find out about the baby. He actually wanted Ricky to sell his son. Needless to say, Ricky declined.

When she found out that her boyfriend, Ben, was going away for the summer to Italy, her ears immediately perked up. She felt that she earned and deserved a vacation. Everyone was against it though, especially considering she was #1 s teenage girl who would be going off with her teenage boyfriend and #2. because she wanted to take John with her.

She ended up not going, but she might as well have with all the phone calls and text messages she was harassing Ben with. Then, she immediately jumped to the conclusion that she cheated on him. Well, it turns out that he actually might have.

Her preference would have obviously been to be taken to the hospital. However, she ended up going into labor at the house and insisted that it was too late to go to the hospital; she was already in the process of having the baby. They tried to get the dog, Moose, to call 911, but the 911 operator didn't believe them anymore because of all the false alarms they had earlier that day.

Despite Amy, Ashley, and Anne laughing at him, George ended up delivering the baby, a healthy baby boy.

When Adrian and Ricky went to therapy together, the therapist asked how old Adrian was when she lost her virginity. Adrian told the story that it was her best friend, but he ended up moving away. When asked why they didn't still keep in touch, Adrian revealed that it was because the reason he moved was to get cancer treatment.

This is probably the first time that we see Adrian really vulnerable.

It started out with just Ricky, Ben, and Jack ditching school. Then the rest of the gang just sort of followed. Ricky, Ben, Jack, Adrian, Ashley, her friend, and Grace all wound up at the beach. The rest of them were just sort of driving around, not really looking for a destination.

They all wounded up getting phone calls from the new guidance counselor at one point of their trip or another. Oh yeah, Ben's Italian "friend" shows up at the beach as well, creating quite a commotion among his friends.

When Amy found out that she was pregnant, she really didn't want to tell her mom. She ended up telling her mom in the kitchen one morning, but she had to keep repeating herself because Anne didn't believe her. Amy was going to tell her dad, but Anne said that she should wait to tell him. And then, when they were visiting with Mimzy, they told her as well. But, everyone else knew before that, so Mimzy was the last to find out.
