It had been two months exactly since Ben and Adrian's baby girl had died. Adrian was still wrecked with grief and Ben was unable to get through to her. He tried to voice his concerns about her physical and mental well being, but she was not in the mood to listen. Ben asked Amy to please go over to the condo and talk to her, and Amy reluctantly agreed. Amy was not sure what to talk about with Adrian, but Adrian just wanted honesty. So, Amy admitted she was happy with Ricky and that the two were moving in together.

At the end of the this episode, "When One Door Closes...", Ben and Leo both admitted to one another that neither wanted to be married any longer. Ben also said the baby's name in episode three, "When Opportunity Knocks".

Grace showed Adrian a picture of the boy she'd slept with while in Africa. She said that he was a volunteer from California, just like herself. His father was a doctor, just like her step-dad Jeff. This conversation occurred just after Grace had blown Grant off and told him he could wait one more day to see her.

He was not happy with her and hung up before saying goodbye. Grace seemed really excited about the boy named Daniel who was quite tall and handsome from the photograph. This was in episode three, "When Opportunity Knocks". Sinqua Walls played Daniel.

In 2008 he played Jamarcus Hall in the series "Friday Night Lights".

Camille initially attempted to date George. She met him after Ben and Adrian's wedding. When she told Leo, he said he did not want her to date George. He felt uncomfortable about her dating a friend of his, and since it was Amy's dad, he was even more against it. So, she never made it to her date with George, and not long afterward quit her job.

She'd worked with Leo for 25 years and was more than a right hand. They had spent a lot of time together as friends. She told Leo she loved him, on the day Adrian lost her baby, but the elevator door closed right before he could hear it.

It was Ben who figured out exactly why Camille had quit, but when Leo tried to get her to admit it him, he was not forward enough and did not learn the truth. That was in episode four, "One Foot Out the Door".

It was in episode five, "Hole in the Wall". Adrian had enlisted the help of Amy and Grace in deconstructing Mercy's nursery. It was while they were alone that Adrian admitted that by the same time next year she and Ben would have another baby. Adrian was very excited, but as she left the room, Grace's look was one of worry.

When Ben found out what was happening, he rushed home and tore into Adrian. In an epic moment by actor Kenny Baumann, Ben verbally assaulted Adrian. He called her selfish and said that every bad thing that had happened to them both was her fault.

When he left her to go get his stuffed bear back, she punched a hole in the nursery wall.

Nora took Ben out to dinner to warn him away from drinking. She'd been sober for two years and was alarmed that Ben had gotten drunk and passed out at Geoff's. While at dinner, Nora's ex-girlfriend Ollie showed up. Nora had to have a painful talk with her, which led to Nora drinking wine. Ben ended up leaving Nora in his old room at Leo's house so she'd be safe. Leo had to fire Nora from the sausage headquarters, but said she could go back to work at the butcher shop.

While there, Ricky tried to be supportive of his mom, but ended up telling her she was on her last chance to be a part of his life. Later, Leo had to tell Ben the truth about his mom and her parents.

Her parents were also alcoholics, and died in a car accident caused by her dad.

She became an alcoholic as well, and struggled with it her whole life. Leo made it clear to Ben that he was worried about Ben having a predisposition for alcoholism, and did not want him drinking at all.

Ben and Adrian went together as married "friends", though Adrian was still trying to keep Ben forever by getting pregnant again. Grace went with Jack as a favor to him, though her boyfriend Daniel showed up to relieve her. Amy convinced Ricky to take her as well, though he truly had no interest. Lauren babysat for John, and Amy sent Jesse over there to see her.

Ethan had stayed with Margaret and Shakur during the time Ricky had lived there, but only for a short time. He stole some antique scalpels from Shakur, sold them for a hundred dollars and bought a pair of athletic shoes. The shoes had been stolen from him two weeks later.

He came back to Ricky for help after forwarding a nude picture of his ex-girlfriend to his call list. She'd taken the picture herself and sent it to him, which technically made them both criminals. Ethan was 14 and his ex was 16, and I do not feel minors should be charged with soliciting child pornography. Michael Grant played Ethan in this episode, "4-1-1".

Ricky told two year old John the story of an evil king and queen (his parents). He told of finally being rescued and living with several families before the good king and queen (Margaret and Shakur) saved him. The story went on that at that point Ricky was a bit rotten himself, but over time learned to be better.

He had a baby with a great girl at age 16, and that girl wanted to marry him. So, he finally decided to give her what she wanted and marry her. He bought a diamond ring, a small one afforded by being employed in a butcher shop.

Then, he showed John the ring and told him would give it to Amy on the night he graduated high-school.

Ricky really chose the perfect moment to propose. In the mid-season finale, "And Circumstance", Ricky gave the commencement speech at graduation because he was the Valedictorian of the 2011 class. He gave a great speech, thanking all the people along the way who had helped and changed him.

He concluded with the part about how because of Amy he was able to love and be loved back. His parents and hers were there to witness the moment, as was Ben, Alice, Henry, and the Bowman family. She immediately said yes, as a sickened Adrian looked on.

It happened at the lake house party, thrown by Lauren's boyfriend Jesse. Amy gave Ricky permission to give Adrian what she wanted, so he walked up and kissed her in front of the whole room of people. Adrian declared herself free of Ricky at that moment, though I did not quite buy it.

It was a wild night. Omar was embarrassed by the kiss, and left with Daniel. Daniel's ex had shown up uninvited to the party, so he wanted to leave anyway. Madison and Jesse had too much to drink and it appeared as though they had sex, which devastated Lauren. Ben spent the night with a cute red haired girl, and they did not have sex.

She said she didn't do that, and he said that was refreshing to hear. Somehow, Henry and Adrian hooked up and Alice walked in to find him in bed and Adrian getting dressed, devastating her.

The episode ended with Amy and Ricky kissing enthusiastically outside, as everyone was leaving. Can their happiness continue?
