This happens inside the room of Henrietta, a goth girl whose parents are concerned because of her "evil" behavior, as they describe it. She and her goth friends are holding a meeting and reading a magazine with Edgar Allan Poe on the cover when her mother interrupts.

Henrietta is outraged by the fact that her parents don't know the difference between an emo and a goth, so she "protects herself from the abuse" with her goth friends, who go to the Child Services office. Obviously, the woman in charge cannot understand what's wrong with a parent calling her daughter an emo! In fact, she can't tell the difference between emo and goth herself!

When Henrietta gets off the bus, her friends, who are waiting for her, are incredibly surprised. Henrietta has her hair dyed in purple, and she is not wearing a cross anymore. She starts mentioning suicide and listening to emo music, so Michael thinks the camp turned her emo on purpose.

Mike "Vampir" Makowski is a fanatic of the "Twilight" series, and besides being a student, he leads the South Park Vampire Society. When Pete and Firkle enter the Vampire Society meeting, the vampires reject them, however, they unite against a common enemy: the emos.

Henrietta even has a poster of the band in her room. While she is "hurting", or cutting herself, her mom interrupts again, and Henrietta kicks her out of her room again, saying, "Sorry I'm such a disappointment". Her mom takes that as progress, saying that she at least apologized!

One of the emo kids then suggests to paint the White House black, and have Fall Out Boy play in the Super Bowl.

Mike summons Edgar Allan Poe "calling upon the creator of all that is dark, knower of all that is misery", and claims that "his children need special guidance". Pete questions the plan, saying it's impossible to bring him back from the dead.

However, the spirit of Edgar Allan Poe does show up in the library! He calls emos "wanna-be conformists".

Answer: Troubled Acres

Troubled Acres claims to be a rehab center for "at risk teens". However, it is really a nursery for ficus plants, with closed circuit cameras in every room to ensure safety, all of which are watched by... you guessed it: plants. The employee who waters the plants is called Harold Flannigan, and he is the only human to work there.

Answer: Lowe's

According to the price tag, the common ficus Poe shoots, which is the "Emo King", was purchased from Lowe's Home and Garden at a price of $29.95. After all, they were all purchased at Lowe's. Harold is amazed, saying the plants do really talk to him. However, it turns out to be a hidden-camera show called "Yes, I Was Scared", which has tricked Harold into thinking the ficuses are talking to him!

Answer: They torched the plant leader

Pete says, "They infiltrated the emo lair and torched the plant leader". Henrietta appears to be choking and then claims to be "her again", which means she is back to being goth.

Henrietta's mother interrupts again to announce dinner's ready, and when Henrietta shuts her up, she calls her daughter a "fatty", thus ending the episode.

Nope, the episode is entirely dedicated to the goths and the vampires and the emos! (Who, according to that TV show host, are all the same thing). None of the main characters show up during this one. This is the only episode of season 17 that does not feature any of the main characters.
