The Hellgrammite, who was near indestructible, ate DDT. DDT is an odorless tasteless crystal used in many pesticides.

Superman had to step in and save Kara during her first fight with him.

Alex Danvers ended being the one who took down the Helgermite, proving that humans aren't powerless after all.

Midway through the episode Cat told James Olsen that if he didn't land the interview he would be fired.

Kara and James were fast becoming friends, so she granted Cat the interview at the end of the episode.
