Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What did Supergirl accidently reveal to Cat Grant?

Answer: She was Superman's cousin.

This was in the opening scene of the episode, when Cat was interviewing Supergirl. It picked up directly where the previous episode had ended.

Little did Cat realize that Supergirl was also her assistant.
2. Who was the 'villain of the week'?

Answer: Reactron

Reactron was a big bad guy. While he was new to Supergirl, who had only revealed herself to the world a few weeks earlier, he was a longtime foe of Superman.

It was mentioned in the episode that Superman had fought and lost to Reactron several times in the past.

The odd thing was that Reactron wasn't an alien, just a simple human who built a suit to help him fight the Kryptonians.
3. What big project was Maxwell Lord working on?

Answer: A 'floating' train.

Maxwell was not a nice person when not in the public eye, but when the media was around he was one of the best people in National City.

This project was a low-cost, super fast train for people of the city to use as mass transit. The train was about to leave on its first journey early in the episode.
4. Where was the current big bad's hideout?

Answer: In a junkyard.

It was the perfect place to hide from a Kryptonian. Reactron used the lead from various things in the junkyard to help hide his lair, and parts from around the junkyard to build and repair his gadgets.

This was also the site of the first major battle with Supergirl, when she comes to save the kidnapped Maxwell from him.
5. Superman flew in from Metropolis to save his cousin during her fight with the main villain of the episode.

Answer: True

Reactron was about to defeat Supergirl, when suddenly Superman stepped in.

His save of her was mostly off screen, no one saw him fight with Reactron as the scene was shown from Kara's perspective while she passed out from the battle.

When she woke up, Superman was gone and she was embarrassed that he had to help her.
6. Who wrote the story for CatCo's article on Supergirl?

Answer: Cat Grant

Kara is Supergirl, and not a reporter for the magazine. Alex is a government agent and also not a reporter. James is a photographer. Cat, who rarely writes anymore since she is the CEO of the company, conducted the interview. She did the interview shown in the opening scene of the episode and spent the next half of the episode writing the article. Because of her lack of regular writing, she was quite nervous about the reaction to the article.
7. What happened at the magazine release party?

Answer: Reactron attacked.

Reactron crashed the party, attempting to draw Supergirl out and possibly recapture Maxwell after he had been rescued earlier in the episode.

Of course he succeeded in calling out Supergirl, but the fight didn't turn out like he'd have hoped.

Reactron was played by Chris Browning in the episode.
8. How did Supergirl win the fight?

Answer: Ripped out the core of the bad guy's suit.

Supergirl used her heat vision to melt a lead statue and encased her hand in the lead.

She then punched through Reactron's suit and ripped out the core, allowing it to then explode inside the lead, which stopped it from being harmful.
9. James Olsen used a special watch to communicate with Supergirl in this episode.

Answer: False

The watch, tuned to a supersonic frequency, was actually used to call Superman all the way from Metropolis.

This was how Superman knew Kara needed help the first time she met up with Reactron.

It wasn't explained why Supergirl, who was thousands of miles closer to the watch didn't hear the sound when Superman did.
10. Who is James Olsen's ex-girlfriend?

Answer: Lucy Lane

Lucy and Lois are sisters. Lois is a reporter for "The Daily Planet", and Clark Kent's partner.

In this episode Lucy is just an ex-girlfriend of James.
