Answer: Croatia

In the beginning of Leg 7, teams ripped open their clues and were told to travel by bus from Dubrovnik to Split, Croatia, and then by ferry to the city of Ancona, Italy. Because of schedules and departure times, teams took different buses to Split, but rode the same ferry to the city of Ancona where they discovered their next clues waiting in Fiats parked at the terminal.

As a surprise, teams were given a Blackberry mobile device containing messages from their families for motivation.

Answer: Nicolas and Donald

Arriving in Italy, teams had the option of making their way to a specific tattoo parlor in Empoli, a town in Tuscany, to claim the Fast Forward clue which required that both members of the participating team get the letters 'FF' (for Fast Forward) permanently inked onto their arms. Nicolas and Donald were the only ones to attempt this task and both succeeded in doing so.

This marks the only Fast Forward completed over the course of the race though an unaired Fast Forward existed in Leg 5 (Lithuania).

Answer: Vinci

Arriving in Empoli in Tuscany, teams found their Road Block task at Campo di Volo Silvano Poli. For this, one member of each team participating needed to board an ultralight aircraft and fly over the Tuscan countryside looking for a specific codeword which was necessary for them to receive their next clue.

This word was 'Vinci', a name important to the tasks ahead. After finding this clue, they could return to their partner and drive to the town of Vinci, also the birthplace of the world-famous Leonardo da Vinci, where they could find their next clue. If the team member could not find the clue in thirty minutes, they would need to land, refuel, and head back into the skies to find it once more. Nathan, TK, Christina and Vyxsin all finished this one.

Answer: 'Tradition'

Arriving at the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, teams found their Detour clue, a choice between 'Invention' and 'Tradition'. In 'Invention', teams needed to construct and use a crane modeled on designs created by da Vinci to lift a large rock. When this was done, they would need to place a mirror underneath the rock to read their next clue on its bottom. TK and Rachel were the only ones to complete this task.

In 'Tradition', teams needed to go to Piazza Guido Masi and learn a routine involving flags. Once both members successfully completed the dance they would be able to continue on. Ronald and Christina, Kynt and Vyxsin, and Nathan and Jennifer finished this.

Answer: Nicolas and Donald

After the Detour, teams headed to the next Pit Stop, Boboli Gardens in Florence, Italy. Nicolas and Donald prevailed and reached the mat in first place thanks to their utilization of the Fast Forward clue allowing them to skip all tasks in the Leg and advance to the Pit Stop. For doing so, they won a trip to Cancun. Kynt and Vyxsin arrived at the mat in last place, but were granted a reprieve in this first of only two non-elimination points of this "Amazing Race".

As such the duo would need to face off against a new twist in the race which effectively eliminated the 'Marked for Elimination' status: the Speed Bump.

Answer: Two

At the beginning of Leg 8, teams flew over four thousand miles from Florence, Italy to Mumbai, India where they were required to locate the M.R. Naik Newspaper Stall. Once there, they would need to use a copy of the Times of India, a major newspaper, to search for their next destination within an advertisement.

This location would be Chauhan Alteration Tailors in Mumbai home to their Detour clue. The task was a choice between 'Thread 'Em' and 'Paste 'Em'. In the former, teams needed to go to a flower shop and create a garland of flowers in a specific alternating pattern, then, when approved, they would need to hand it off to a bride and groom. TK and Rachel, Nathan and Jennifer, and Kynt and Vyxsin finished this.

In 'Paste 'Em', teams needed to go to an underpass and properly paste up a six-panel Bollywood poster to get their next clue. Nicolas and Donald and Ronald and Christina finished this.

Answer: Yoga

After the Detour task, Kynt and Vyxsin, having placed in last during the previous leg of the race, were forced to complete a Speed Bump, a task that no other teams would need to finish. For this, both of them needed to go to Dariya Mahal to work with a yoga master and perform a series of precise yoga techniques before they could continue on to their next clue box.

As a result, the two of them fell behind other teams.

Answer: Nicolas and Donald

After the Detour, teams headed to Kabutar Khana where the U-Turn was stationed. This device would force the selected team to go back on the course and complete the Detour task that they did not finish originally. Kynt and Vyxsin ended up using the Detour in order to hold back Nicolas and Donald, but at this point in time, Nicolas and Donald were already ahead of them. The U-Turn did not have an effect.
After this, teams made their way to Bharatgas Colaba Gas Service in Mumbai for their next clue.

Answer: Propane tanks

Upon arriving at Bharatgas Colaba Gas Service, teams located their next Road Block task in which one member needed to hop onto a bicycle cart and then head to two different addresses in the city to deliver three propane tanks to each. Once that team member located the houses they would receive order slips required to exchange for their clue back at the starting point. Team members completing this task were TK, Nicolas, Ronald, Jennifer and Kynt.

After the Road Block teams were instructed to head to their next Pit Stop in the race.

Answer: Kynt and Vyxsin

After the Road Block, teams were told to take a taxi to Bandra Fort, also known as the Castella de Aguada. This landmark in Mumbai would be the eighth Pit Stop. TK and Rachel, who also placed first in Lithuania, pulled through for another victorious leg upon their arrival at the Bandra Fort.

They won an a trip to St. Maarten as a result. Hynt and Vyxsin, who struggled to catch up and overcome their setbacks in this leg, became the seventh team eliminated from the race.
