Road Blocks of "The Amazing Race 12" Quiz

Answer: Eleven

This being the first leg of the race, all eleven teams made their way to Ireland and found a Road Block clue in Galway County on the Cleggan Farm property. Here, after tandem biking to a clue box, one member of each team needed to pedal on a high-wire bicycle across a chasm with their partner holding onto a pole below. Once on the other side, the team would be able to continue on with their next clue. TK, Vyxsin, Nathan, Azaria, Staella, Jason, Nicolas, Ron, Marianna, Kate, and Jennifer completed this task before moving on to a set of donkeys, some stubborn and some compliant, and eventually the Pit Stop.

In Leg 2, teams headed through the Netherlands. Departing from Amsterdam, teams bussed to the village of Ransdorp to find their Road Block clue in which one member of each team needed to perform a local sport in which they used a pole to vault over a twelve foot ditch between fields. Once the team member planted their feet firmly on the opposite bank, they would receive their next clue on the far side of the field. If they missed they'd need to climb back and vault again. Jason, Shana, Jennifer, Kynt, Hendekea, Rachel, Donald, Marianna, Christina and Pat completed this task, some of them on the first try.

After the Road Block, teams rode bakfiets to the Pit Stop at the Durgerdam Yacht Club.

Arriving in the village of Bingo in the savannah of Burkina Faso, teams needed to choose one member to complete the Road Block task which forced them to milk a camel to the marked line in a bowl, then drink what they have collected. If they were unable to fill their bowl, for whatever reason, they would need to wait until the other teams had left to use their camels. TK, Donald, Christina, Nathan, Vyxsin, Azaria, Jennifer, Julia, and Lorena finished the Road Block and moved on.

After this, teams needed to deliver four camels to specific people in the village of Bingo.

For the Road Block in Leg 4, teams traveled to the Tampouey Goat Market in the city of Ouagadougou and one member had to choose a bike and load a shopping list of bulky items on top to transport them through the market to a specific vendor. Once that team member moved all of the items, including a baby goat, in one go (successfully) they would receive their next clue leading to the Pit Stop at Hotel de Ville. Azaria, Jennifer, Vyxsin, Nicolas, Christina, Rachel, Shana and Jason finished this Road Block and received their clue.

In Lithuania, teams found the Road Block task at St. Anne's Church in the capital city, Vilnius. Here, one member of each team needed to deliver a package from a local woman to someone waiting in Vilnius University Courtyard whose name would be given.

After this, they would need to take another package to one of four locations in the Old Quarter of Vilnius before they could return to their partner with the next clue. Nicolas, Kynt, Hendekea, Ronald, TK, Jennifer, and Shana completed the task before heading onward to the town of Rumsiskes.

Upon arriving in Italy, teams needed to drive to Empoli in Tuscany to locate their clue box at Campo di Volo Silvano Poli. Here, one member of each team needed to complete the Road Block in which they needed to strap into an ultralight flier and take to the skies to search the fields below for their next destination: 'Vinci'.

They would need to search a six mile radius, and if they could not find it in thirty minutes, they would need to return to the runway and refuel before searching again. TK, Nathan, Christina, and Vyxsin finished this task before heading to the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. Neither Nicolas nor Donald finished this task- they claimed the Fast Forward instead.

Arriving at the Bharatgas Colaba Gas Service in Mumbai, team members commenced a Road Block in which they needed to fill a bike cart with six canisters of propane, then deliver them to two addresses on order sheets given to them (three canisters to each).

They then needed to claim the receipts and return to the station to hand them all in and receive their clue. TK, Nicolas, Ronald, Jennifer, and Kynt completed this task, then headed to the next Pit Stop at the Bandra Fort overlooking the Arabian Sea.

Answer: Drive

Reaching Noda Station in Osaka, Japan, teams received a clue from the station's cleaning employee. This would be their Road Block in which one member of each team needed to don a hat and gloves and drive a taxi through the confusing streets of Osaka to drop off a Japanese couple. All teams needed to locate the flag at the Osaka Central Post Office, but they could not have a local drive them there and they could not receive help from their passengers.

After this, they needed to drive back to their partners with the clue. Jennifer, Christina, Nicolas, and Rachel finished this task before taking a taxi to Kita-Mido Temple.

Answer: Taiwan

in Leg 10, teams flew four thousand miles from Osaka to Taipei and took a train to the town of Jiji where one member of each team needed to complete a Road Block task involving Acrobatic Jeeps. Rachel, Ronald, Donald, and Nathan all took part in this task, the first half of which involved a high-up teeter-totter upon which their Jeep would balance, and the second half of which involved an underwater drive in an amphibious Jeep.

After the Road block, teams took the train back to Taipei to enjoy a cup of tea at the GK Teahouse in the city.

In Leg 11, teams made their way to the Road Block task, the last one of the race, at Goose Lake Park. Here, one member of each team (Rachel, Christina, and Nicolas) needed to move to a particular station and choose ten of the fifteen items provided to solve a logic puzzle with knowledge and items gained from over the course of the first ten legs of the race. Each item selected needed to be from a different leg and several special requirements were necessary to finish and receive a clue sending them to the statue of Captain Cook in Anchorage.
