"The Amazing Race Canada 2" [2] Quiz

Answer: Hong Kong, China

At the start of Leg 3, teams left the beach in Tofino, British Columbia and were told to fly (for the first time on "The Amazing Race: Canada") out of the country to Hong Kong, China. Heading out on one flight from Tofino via Vancouver, all nine teams arrived in the economic hub in the evening and signed up for one of three times at which they could receive a blessing at the bottom of the Tian Tan Buddha in Ngong Ping Village in the morning.

Answer: Alvin Leung

After getting their blessings and climbing to the Tian Tan Buddha, teams headed into Hong Kong and reached Wan Chai District to find a Detour task waiting in front of a golden dragon statue. This gave teams a choice between 'Master Chef' and 'Kung Fu Master'.

In 'Master Chef', teams needed to visit Bo Innovations, the restaurant of Alvin Leung, and purchase ten items for him from a very specific shopping list by heading to the Wan Chai Wet Market. Laura and Jackie and Sukhi and Jinder completed this task.

In 'Kung Fu Master', teams had to learn an intricate routine with a martial arts master to carry on. All of the remaining seven teams went with this task.

Answer: Natalie and Meghan

Natalie and Meaghan, who won the Express Pass for placing first in Leg 1, ended up using their advantage in Leg specifically to skip the 'Kung Fu Master' Detour option in Hong Kong. This, allegedly, was due to an unaired Double U-Turn appearing in this leg.

As a result, the two were able to skip the race's second Detour and head to Hilliard Street in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong for their next route marker.

Answer: Snake

Arriving at Hilliard Street, teams found a Road Block which required that one member of each pair indulge in a local delicacy-- several different parts of a snake. First, the racer had to help prepare a shot of bile harvested directly from a living snake's gallbladder and then drink it down.

Then, the racer had to have an entire bowl of snake skin soup, made fresh. When both of these were downed, the participating member would be handed their next clue. Meaghan, Nicole, Pierre, Mickey, Rob, Bob, Alain, Sukhi, and Jackie completed this task.

After this, all teams had to work for a movie director in front of Bruce Lee's statue on the Avenue of Stars.

Answer: Laura and Jackie

After posing for the camera on the Avenue of Stars, the nine teams were told to make their way to the gardens of Kowloon Walled City Park and search on foot for the race's third Pit Stop. Natalie and Meghan ended up taking their third win in a row (of three Pit Stops) winning themselves two tickets to China courtesy of Air Canada in addition to $2,000.

After struggling during a lengthy Detour option, Laura and Jackie ended up arriving in last place, eliminating themselves from the race.

Answer: Macau

Departing from their third Pit Stop at the start of Leg 4, teams had to make their way through Hong Kong to the ferry terminal to sign up on one of two turbo jet ferries leaving forty-five minutes apart bound for Macau, China that evening. Upon their arrival, teams needed to hop into taxis and visit the A-Ma Temple in Macau to join in a local custom to rid themselves of bad spirits-- mainly by lighting a long string of firecrackers and running to a safe distance.

Answer: Bungee jump

Racing from the A-Ma Temple to the base of the Macau Tower, teams were told to choose a team member who wanted a good view of the city. This split racers up; one headed to the base of the tower and the other headed to the top to perform a 233 meter bungee jump, one of the highest in the world, to their partner below to receive their clue.

The task was completed by Natalie, Michel, Cormac, Rob, Jinder, Rex, Mickey, and Audrey. After this, teams headed to an almond cookie shop on Happiness Street for their next clue.

Answer: 'Stomp It'

At Happiness Street, teams chose between two Detour options: 'Stamp It' and 'Stomp It'. In 'Stamp It', teams collected a piece of parchment and needed to locate six stamp vestibules found in the streets around the Ruins of St. Paul. Once they used all six stamps they could return and get their next clue. Sukhi and Jinder, Alain and Audrey, and Mickey and Pete did this task. Natalie and Meghan, Rex and Bob, Cormac and Nicole, Ryan and Rob, and Pierre and Michel did 'Stomp It' in which they had to learn a Macanese dance and perform it with a troupe in traditional garb to get their next clue.

Answer: Fan-Tan

Heading to a penthouse in the Grand Lapa Hotel, teams were told to dress up as dealers and learn the complicated table game Fan-Tan using nothing more than a consistently-played demonstration. When teams were able to properly count their chips and hand out the proper wins, losses, and ties, they would be able to receive their next clue directing them to the next Pit Stop.

At one point during this task, almost all eight teams were on an even playing field.

Answer: Sukhi and Jinder

After their game of Fan-Tan at the Grand Lapa Hotel, teams needed to take a taxi to the Grand Lisboa Hotel and then proceed on foot, finding their way to a specific parking garage and traveling underground to the location of their fourth Pit Stop, the Plaza Ferreira Amaral.

Here, Natalie and Meghan checked again for their fourth consecutive first place win, this time taking a trip for two to Tokyo from Air Canada and an additional $3,000. Sukhi and Jinder, trailing through the entire leg of the race, ended up arriving in last place but were spared from elimination in this first non-elimination leg.
