Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Hannah admitted that she always felt she and Owen were meant to be together.

Answer: True

Hannah finally reached a moment of clarity. Talking to Owen in her memory, she stated her name (Hannah Grose), the year (1987), and the fact that Dominic and Charlotte, Peter and Rebecca, and herself, had all died. Hannah only wanted to help, but she knew she couldn't because she was slipping away. All she wanted was to stay with Owen, but she couldn't.

The memory she kept coming back to was their first meeting because she was happy in that moment; she thought she could spend the rest of her life with him after that.

But she never told him. She preferred to stay with him in that memory, but she needed to help him, and the others, out in the real world. She needed to be strong and not hide in a memory or else everyone still alive would be lost forever.
2. Who was able to free Dani from Viola's grasp?

Answer: Flora

As the faceless ghost of Viola Willoughby dragged Dani towards the manor, Hannah appeared at the door, emboldened by her inner self to help the others. She called Flora inside to hide before crossing paths with the spectre, but it passed right through her and continued to trudge into the building, ceaselessly choking the au pair as they passed into the forbidden wing.

When they reached the master bedroom, Viola checked the bed to find no one there. That was when Flora reappeared, jumping on the bed to beg the lady from the lake to stop harming Dani. Seeing the girl there, the ghost believed she was fulfilling her objective.

She picked up the child and carried her outside past Rebecca and Peter, still inside Miles' body. All Peter could tell his girlfriend was that he gave her the opportunity to be freed, and all she could do then was watch it drown.
3. Who of these found themselves choked in Viola's grasp as she made her way back to the lake?

Answer: Henry

While Flora was carried off to the lake, a car pulled up the drive. Henry Wingrave, finally arriving after driving several hours from London, arrived just in time to see Flora and Viola round the corner at the chapel. Hopping out of his vehicle he rushed to her aid and demanded the spectre put her down.

He was greeted with nothing more than the ghost's grip tightening around his neck as Viola strangled him with one hand and cast him aside before carrying on. The distraction, however minimal, was enough to allow Dani still struggling to breathe, to head to the lake.

At the same time, Jamie and Owen returned from Bly Village, parking behind Henry's vehicle. Hannah finding them there, urged them to head to the lake before she disappeared before their very eyes.
4. Who sacrificed themselves to save the spirits of Bly Manor?

Answer: Dani

With mere steps to go, Flora screamed for help. Rebecca, following behind the ghost step for step, begged Flora to let her in, at last, so that she could ease her fears in her last moments. And sure enough, Flora did let her in to be tucked away in a memory of her mother. Owen came across Henry's body en route to the lake and remained behind in an attempt to revive him while Jamie raced ahead, and what she found was Dani, standing in the lake, with Viola and Flora moments from complete submersion. Feeling the need deep inside, Dani beckoned to them in the water and brought on the possession. And that was what changed everything and saved all the others.
5. After the final encounter at the lake, all of the spirits trapped at Bly Manor were freed from it that evening.

Answer: True

As Dani took Viola's spirit within her body, the effects were nearly immediate.

In the attic of Bly Manor, the ghost of Perdita Willoughby felt the shift. The plague doctor, whose life was taken next, vanished from the grounds.
On the lawn, Hannah asked Henry, hovering between life and death, to tell Owen she was sorry when he eventually found her body in the well. He was revived instantly after.
Miles awakened on the grounds as well. Peter, separated from his body, apologized before vanishing.
Jamie rushed to Dani and Flora out in the waters of the lake. When Dani invited Viola into herself, the invitation was accepted and it broke the spell on Bly. All of the spells trapped in her gravity were released.
Jamie and Owen found Hannah's body in the well the following day. It was assumed she died accidentally. After Hannah's body was removed, Owen rode with her back to the village, took responsibility for cleaning her for burial, and remained with her until she was buried. He returned to Bly only to light a candle for her in the chapel.

In the days that followed, Bly lost its oppressive weight of mourning. Henry, searching through items and belongings, spent his time with the children and promised to tell them all of the stories.
6. Henry planned to take the children where after their time at Bly Manor came to an end?

Answer: America

As Dani packed her things, Jamie found her lost in thought, crying at an ineffable feeling inside. She felt the spirit within her, quietly biding her time but sitting with an unresolved rage. Dani likened it to being trapped in a dense, overgrown jungle with nothing but a rough path in front of her. There was a beast watching her, unseeable in the trees, waiting for the right moment. At some points, perhaps, it would take her. Jamie promised that she would be company for her as she walked through that jungle.
In the lobby, Dani and Jamie said their goodbyes, taking their bags to head out. As Flora handed Dani a talisman of her own, Henry suggested they would be heading for America-- somewhere far away from Bly. And perhaps there they would all cross paths again on a new adventure.
And so they left Bly.
7. Dani and Jamie, following their time at Bly, took jobs at which of these?

Answer: Florist shop

Dani and Jamie took things one day at a time and onward. After a year, they were still together. Working at a florist's shop in America, Jamie presented Dani with a new moonflower and let her know that, despite what she thought would happen when they first met, she never got sick of being around her. As it turned out, it was love.
One year became two and then three and four and five years. They lived together and were at peace. At long last, in Dani's heart, all was right. But one day, when walking to the shop, Dani spied her reflection in the window saw Viola's faceless visage staring back at her.
Fearing the worst, Dani returned home soon after and proposed to Jamie, hiding a ring in a potted plant and asking that they remain together as long as they could. Jamie, of course, accepted the proposal.

In Paris, Owen treated Jamie and Dani to dinner at his restaurant, 'A Batter Place'. They toasted Hannah and spoke of the Wingraves (Flora had a boyfriend, Henry; she was 17). Interestingly, neither Miles nor Flora remembered anything about Bly. They'd forgotten all of it, all the details and the fear. It all faded away.
8. Dani realized, as time went on, that she saw Viola's reflection more and more, being drawn to her in which of these?

Answer: Water

Dani's visions of Viola continued to appear with increased frequency as she saw her in reflections in glass, mirrors, and water. Jamie reminded her that they would still have so many years together and all would be fine; Jamie would do the washing up from then on. One night when Jamie returned home, however, she found Dani gazing into an overflowing bathtub, staring at her own reflection in the water. Struggling and understanding that maybe she needed to accept the truth behind Viola within her, Dani was only reassured that she was still there when Jamie told her so.

They needed to take it one day at a time. That night, Dani dreamed that she was strangling Jamie from beneath the water. She woke up to find her hand ready to commit the deed.

When Jamie woke up, she was already gone. The best had sprung. She left a note and departed.
9. Where did Jamie find Dani's body?

Answer: In the lake

Jamie returned to Bly Manor one last time, pulling up to its overgrown facade in a cab but turning around at the door and walking directly to the lake. She found it placid and coated in a dense fog, but she strode in without concern and dove beneath the surface to search for the answer.

There, in the clear waters, she found Dani and tried to speak the words that would allow them to be together again, but Dani never let her in. Knowing the curse upon the place, Dani couldn't let that which mattered most to her, or anyone else for that matter, fall victim to the curse of Bly again. Jamie crawled to the shore of the pond. For the rest of her days, she hoped she could stare into the water anywhere she was and, perhaps, see Dani's reflection staring back. For years, she stared into those waters and her memories of Dani would begin to fade like Viola before her.

The details and moments would vanish as time passed. Dani would walk Bly, harmlessly, treasured in the memory of the woman who loved her most, while she could be remembered.
10. Who told the story of the haunting during the evening of the wedding rehearsal?

Answer: Jamie

As the storyteller completed her story, still in front of the fire after the wedding rehearsal, a silence remained amongst the crowd there. One woman had to ask-- was it true? Maybe, she said, but Bly Manor was no longer known by that name, and Dani might not have been wandering at the right times. The guests, in short time, departed for bed at the story's conclusion. As the groom headed to bed, the bride remained with the storyteller at the fire. She liked her story, she said, but she thought she set it up wrong in the beginning when she said it was a ghost story. It was a love story. The storyteller retorted quickly-- "same thing, really." As the bride headed off to bed, she laughed a little, believing that the story might truly be real. It might have been coincidence, though, since her middle name was Flora.

The following day, the wedding was held. Across the room, the storyteller glanced over and tipped a glass Owen's way while Miles watched on. On the dance floor, Flora shared a dance with Henry. Jamie placed her glass on the table and headed back to her hotel room.

Running a bath, Jamie glanced into her reflection in the water. Turning a chair in her sitting room, she left the door open and closed her eyes to sleep, nodding off as a hand rested on her shoulder.
