Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who plays the 11th incarnation of The Doctor?

Answer: Matt Smith

Matt Smith was cast as The Doctor before the episode 'The Next Doctor' was broadcast! He was unveiled to the public in a special edition of 'Doctor Who Confidential' on the 4th of January, 2009, 362 days before he would be seen on screen as The Doctor.
2. What is the name of the first episode of the 11th incarnation of The Doctor's first series?

Answer: The Eleventh Hour

The title is a pun of the fact that this is the 11th incarnation's first episode. It's opening sequence even sees The Doctor crashing into Big Ben! Something a Slitheen spaceship did in 'Aliens Of London'.
3. Within the opening sequence of this first episode, there are two continuity errors. What are they?

Answer: The 10th incarnation's brown pinstripe suit magically disappears & The T.A.R.D.I.S. windows are magically repaired.

During the closing minute of 'The End Of Time', The Doctor is wearing a brown pinstriped suit and the T.A.R.D.I.S. windows are smashed by the explosion. For those of you who picked another answer because 'T.A.R.D.I.S.' has dots in it... Good luck with the next question.
4. What does The Doctor say T.A.R.D.I.S. stands for?

Answer: Time And Relative Dimension In Space

Of course, everything is singular. As any Whovian would know! There was a brief time during the 4th and possibly 7th Doctor's era, where it was mispronounced as 'Relative Dimensions' but that's as bad as calling The Doctor 'Doctor Who'!
5. What is the name of Amy's aunt?

Answer: Sharon

This is slightly unfair, you have to pay close attention to the episode to pick this out. However, in the opening scenes of 'The Big Bang' when little Amelia is repeating the first scenes shown in THIS episode, she mentions Aunt Sharon.
6. What is the name of the 'villain(s)' in this episode?

Answer: Prisoner Zero and The Atraxi

This is a sneaky one. It is them both, technically first Prisoner Zero, but then The Atraxi after they say they're gonna burn the Earth anyway. So technically it is all of them. But the (s)should give it away a little.
7. What series arc does Prisoner Zero first mention?

Answer: 'The Pandorica will open.'

The line she says is exactly: 'The Pandorica will open, Silence will fall.' Sneaky but, hey.
8. What three years does this episode bounce between?

Answer: 1996, 2008, 2010

The Doctor arrives in Amelia Pond's back garden in 1996.
The main section of this episode takes place 12 years later, in 2008.
At the end of the episode, Amy Pond says that the events of this episode happened 2 years ago, thus placing it in 2010. If you don't believe me, check the website.
9. Do we see the original sonic screwdriver in this episode?

Answer: No

This is a sneaky one, if you picked yes because of Tennant's screwdriver, that's not even the original one, it gets destroyed in 'Smith and Jones'. If you picked yes because you first see the new screwdriver, wrong again. I asked if we saw the original sonic screwdriver, and the original soni cscrewdriver makes one or two brief appearances in Patrick Troughton's run as The Doctor as a little lightD
10. There are now 5 variations of the sonic screwdriver. The little light, The big chunky red lighted one, The little blue lighted one, The slightly bigger blue lighted one, and The humongous (relatively) green lighted one. Which one was used the longest?

Answer: The red one

The red one is used throughout both Pertwee's and Baker's era, a bit of Davison's and in the Movie. The little light is used in only a few episodes of Troughton's era. The 2 blue variations combined only take up 5 years of the show's history and the green one has been used in this episode.
