1. What did Harry's dad give him in the opening scene?

Answer: A bracelet

It was a "shield bracelet" that had belonged to his mother. The scene was in a flashback to 1981 when Harry was a child. In the flashback he vowed to find whatever killed his mother and kill it.
2. What type of creature was Bob?

Answer: Ghost

Bob's spirit inhabits a skull in Harry's secret lab. rather than refer to himself as a ghost he preferred the term Spirit of Intellect.
3. What city is the show based in?

Answer: Chicago

Harry was the only magician listed in the Chicago phone book. That's how several of his non-supernatural clients found him. Little did those clients know, Harry was an actual magician, not a stage show performer.
4. Dresden was invited to help with a police murder investigation. What was the career of the deceased?

Answer: School teacher

A skinwalker had skinned and taken the identity of Scott's teacher. Scott was the boy who hired Harry because he kept seeing "monsters". At first, Harry didn't believe the boy had any issues until after he met the teacher, and then later saw the dead body of the same woman.
5. What happened to Harry's Jeep that he needed the police to help with?

Answer: He got parking tickets for it

He asked Lt. Connie Murphy to take care of the ticket and get the boot removed from his Jeep. At first she declined, but later agreed to help him when she needed his help on the the murder investigation.
6. Scott was adopted.

Answer: True

The adoption hadn't been legal, and that's why his mother didn't tell the police right away after he was kidnapped. He had been kidnapped by ravens, or rather men who turned into the birds, and was wanted by the skinwalker demon as well.
7. The skinwalker managed to find Scott and had him killed.

Answer: False

Dresden managed to protect the boy and vanquished the skinwalker using a magical box. The box trapped her inside and stopped her from seeking out the boy. Harry told the police that she died in a gas explosion.
8. Who played Harry Dresden in this, and all subsequent episodes of the series?

Answer: Paul Blackthorne

Young Harry was played by Matthew Knight during flashback scenes. Blackthorne went on to play a detective on "Arrow" a few years after "The Dresden Files" cancelled.
9. Bob wasn't the character's given name. What was it?

Answer: Hrothbert of Bainbridge

He was an all powerful being before his untimely death. His skull was passed from wizard to wizard and he served whomever owned it at a given time.
10. Who authored the book series that the show was based on?

Answer: Jim Butcher

Butcher had no official role on the series though. He was listed in the credits of each episode as the creator of "The Dresden Files" series.
